Burrow declares game a must-win.

Couple weeks ago Burrow also said “Something has to change.”  The only thing changing is probably Joe’s understanding of how the bengals work, and his place in the hierarchy.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Could the Cincinnati Bengals actually make a move ahead of Tuesday’s NFL Trade Deadline?

According to The Athletic’s Diana Russini, the Bengals are interested in trading for a cornerback or a defensive lineman, which are easily the two weakest positions on the roster.

Oh, and Tee Higgins isn’t getting traded, which is pretty much a given between him being on the franchise tag and now sidelined with a hamstring injury.

season is over as far as I am concerned

they've wasted much of Burrows career here by not securing the needed players, particularly on defense, to be a potential championship team.  an average defense would have been enough.

the pattern over the last several years of not winning the first 2-3 games is also damning, and I blame that on Zakky boy not properly readying the team for the season, in every single season

so to me, the blame is equally shared between Zakky Boy and SoaG, with a dash of Duke Tobin thrown in

Also - I dont understand why they as an organization cannot seem to draft or develop DLs or OLs.  A few picks here and there aside, they havent been successful since the Dunlap/Atkins era on those two fronts.  Ossai should be decently good by now, and Murphy should be developing and playing significant snaps, but neither is the case.

If they get over 500 with 2 games or more games to go, I will regain some measure of interest, but right now I am expecting no better than 7-10-0

So much talk on Twitter, that Burton did something and they might make him inactive or something I was seeing, let’s hope that’s just some rumor. If they don’t let him play this game and actually start giving him targets I’ll be pissed!

Also so much talk about them making moves at the trade deadline, I’ll believe that when I see it, but they better win this game first

The Burton thing pisses me off to no end. I mean, how long have we talked about the Bengals and drafting guys with character issues? Like, decades, right? And to their credit they finally appeared to learn their lesson and it hasn’t been an issue for years now. But here we are again. They decided to spend a premium pick on a guy with known issues — because they didn’t want to pay the good player they already had at that position — and now they need him but won’t play him because of exactly those issues they knew about when the picked him.

If you are going to take these guys knowing they’re fools and then don’t play them when they act like fools, who is the real fool?

Well said.  Self defeating behavior by Mike and Co.

Roster moves:

**Released DT Lawrence Guy. Guy, a 14th-year player, signed with Cincinnati as a free agent on Sept. 17. He played in four games with two starts for the Bengals.

**Signed HB Kendall Milton off the practice squad to the active roster. Milton, a rookie out of the University of Georgia, was signed on Aug. 29 to Cincinnati's practice squad, where he spent the first eight weeks of the regular season.

**Elevated OT Devin Cochran and WR Kendric Pryor from the practice squad to the active roster for tomorrow's game against Las Vegas. Both players are classified as standard elevations. As practice squad players being elevated to the active roster for the game, they automatically will revert to the practice squad on Monday.

I’m the fool for believing in this team!

So sounds like they built a game plan around Burton and then he missed a walk through maybe overslept then had to scratch it and make a new one lol lol. I’m sure the game plan will be marvelous

For some reason I find that amusing.  An nfl team builds a game plan around you, you are on the verge of establishing your place in an incredibly lucrative profession, and you sleep through practice.
