Couldn’t agree more Hoosier.

If they are considering him, might as well take your chances on no one trading for him and then simply releasing him. He’s certainly not playing in Denver this year.

So Perine

I dont think they can afford to cut someone on the 53 just to see if he still has tread on his tires

I think they try to talk him into a week or two "tryout" via a spot on the practice squad

that way they can do all the checkups and medicals they want to do

He was 4th string for the Broncos for some reason, and I sorta kinda doubt it was because the other three were notably better players than he

so bring him in for some PS pocket change for a week or two and see if he still has it

The other thing that bothers me is that the new "starting" RB from the Colts hasnt been seen much.  Do we know what we truly have in him?

look at his preseason pff rating......

Nope, can't even be worried about someone I didn't realize was on the team.  Wish him the best though.

need to get a veteran run-stopping NT from the cuts today

I'd be interested in Scharping over No Knees Hill

NT - Yes

Scharping - Not really.  Another former Bengals o-lineman that doesn't latch on with another team.  That's a trend for us.

While not begging the Bengals to bring Perrine back, he is an amazing blocking back that has the ability to catch out of the backfield.
I think that would provide more valuable than what we have with Williams, but it's whatever at this point.

Another former Bengal cut, Tre Flowers, down in Jax. No particular interest, we are overstocked at DB, but figured I would toss it in here.

Also a report floating around that Njongmeta has made it through the initial cutdown to 53: https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/report-cincinnati-bengals-preseason-standout-maema-njongmeta-makes-initial-53-man-roster-01j6a08xckky

Njongmeta has been a beast through the preseason.
While I won't suggest that continues against other team's first string offense, he's earned that opportunity.
At a position I have great concerns about their depth nonetheless. Nice...

Good luck to him !!

Glad to hear you like your shiny new linebacker, Army

I like him, but will continue clamoring to have the position addressed in the future.
It's just my thing, even if completely off base.
LOL...

Vikings giving permission to DT/NT Jaquelin Roy for a trade.
He was a 5th round pick last year out of LSU they moved up to draft.  I don't have much info on him, outside of draft profiles.
However, it was a name and position that would at least make me look closer.

Just a consideration I thought I would share when it comes to players being released...

If the player doesn't have 4 seasons under their belt and get released, they have to go through the waiver process.
Currently, the Bengals are sitting at #18 on the waiver wire, so if they like a younger player, they will probably have to make a trade to get him.

If the player has more than 4 seasons under their belt, they go straight to free agency and can sign with any team they like.

Titans released Caleb Farley today.
Dude has been so broken, I totally forgot about him.
He was suppose to be the next big thing.  Instead he's just another 1st round bust.
Sucks for him.

Here’s another blast from drafts past: Chargers cut Alex Leatherwood. Another alleged stud turned dud.

Malik Jefferson got cut in Detroit today. Was on IR so not even sure he’s healthy.

In lighter news, the factory of sadness up north is reportedly looking to trade both Jameis Winston and Tyler Huntley before 4 today. Who exactly will start week 1 isn’t clear as Thompson-Robinson got the primary nod in preseason and Jizzy D Watson (shoulder) was only cleared for contact a week or two ago.

Apparently he’s a taxi squad priority so we’ll all have the chance to not get to know him a lot more!

Well I guess they've reeled me back in. What a relief.
