I can grok why the O has struggled: Burrow hurt, Higgins hurt, Irv was a bust replacing Hurst, ditto Williams/Perine, Volson flatlining, there are things you can point to. But the D is pretty much the same except for Bates and Bell, and injuries haven’t played a huge role. Yet the D has completely gone to hell. Baffling.
