AMPHAR Posted February 2, 2020 Report Posted February 2, 2020 I just stuck the Beer mug in the freezer. T-minus 20 minutes 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 Well, that’s why Mahomes isn’t a running back... Quote
COB Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 7 minute drive for the chiefs. They look good. Brady’s ad did not interest me at all. Dude’s just straight up boring. 1 Quote
COB Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Man, the first quarter went by quickly. Basically 3 possessions and that was it. Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 Not the most exciting game so far Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 Andy Reid in take no prisoners mode. Marvin would have kicked the FG. Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 That was a 100 percent Marvin drive by the 9ers on that last drive before the half. Quote
COB Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 J Lo clamps around out there with the grace of a Clydesdale. And her yelling voice, wow. Quote
COB Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Niners with a 10 point lead, I didn’t expect this at all. Figured the chiefs would roll in this game. 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Did J lo almost double click her mouse on National TV? 1 Quote
COB Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Joe Buck just brought up the Super Bowl we lost in this stadium. Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 49ers LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE 49ers are LOSERS It’s a good night. Quote
AMPHAR Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 21 minutes ago, COB said: Joe Buck just brought up the Super Bowl we lost in this stadium. Yeah. That sucked. 31 years ago. Quote
AMPHAR Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 But they did dump orange Gatorade on Reid, so that’s a good sign. Quote
membengal Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 And THAT’S why Burrow represents genuine hope. Quote
Stripes Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Yup. A top-flight QB can mask considerable deficiencies, like [the entire Chiefs defense] tonight. 1 Quote
membengal Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Exactly. Spare me all trade back scenarios. If you have a chance to try for a transcendent qb, you try. Quote
AMPHAR Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Mike Brown thought he had a transcendent QB at 3 with whoever fell Couch, McNabb, and Akili. Mocked for staying put. Everyone forgets that today. It was such a train wreck. The scouting is the key. Mahomes and Jackson currently represent a ton of paid NFL personnel guys getting it wrong. I have no idea IF Burrow will be transcendent or not. He looks the part to me. So yeah, if that's what they see. Then don't mess around a super QB changes things quickly. It's easier said than done. There's some risk involved and KC and the Ravens played it right. KC was mocked by some for taking a gimmick air raid QB over Watson. Ravens traded back twice before trading back up for Jackson. That kinda tells you they didn't think he was worth a pick in the 20s but became worth as he approached the 30s and 2nd round. Crazy. Quote
membengal Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 Nothing is 100% certain. But I am 100% certain you have to TRY for a transcendant QB if you think a guy is there that might be. That's Burrow. Trading back is dumb. Here, by the way, was 49ers GM John Lynch begging his coach to call a timeout at the end of the first half rather than bleed 40 seconds off (and then run two running plays). You know why Shanahan did that? Because he didn't trust his QB. You can build the perfect team, but in big spots, if you don't trust your QB, you are still short. And I don't remotely trust the Bengals to build a perfect team around a caretaker QB. Too much can go wrong. You take Burrow. 100 times out of 100. Quote
