This is the single largest reason I stopped watching when the Bengals play the Steelers. It is the single largest group of STUPID assembled on a football field in the history of the NFL. Watching these two teams act like a bunch of idiots is too much to sit through. When they find a way to not be complete asshats and cost the team games, I'll tune back in. Something tells me, it's going to be a while before I watch another Bengals/Steelers game.
AMPHAR
The issue is simple. If Pac faces a suspension from the League, the Bengals should cut him. No suspension keep him. Pac finished the season very strong after a slow start. If he's sitting out the first 4 or 6 games, it will take him 3 or 4 games to get up to quality play etc. Bengals have a very solid corner hitting the FA market and they'll save 6 mil in cap by cutting Pac. That's probably half of the transition/franchise tag cost for Dre or Z. That will help you save a starter for the up and coming season. I don't see any valid reason to keep him, solely on the basis of performance. Better to sign Z and Dre, get WJ3 and Dennard in the lineup than keep Jones. Time is ripe to move on. Same applies to Peko, MJ and FNR, time to move on. Teams (except this one) do it all the time and succeed.
ArmyBengal
In regards to dumping Pac Man, this draft is packed full of CB's and bet there will still be quality into the 4th round. Just move on and don't look back. Buh Bye.

volcom69
So the charges against Joey Porter were dropped? The officer who this happened to is not happy the charges were dropped! The Steelers reinstate Porter to coach this weekend? No punishment or even a look at from the NFL? Seriously what the hell is wrong with the NFL anymore! The NFL is becoming the biggest joke of a league anymore!

ArmyBengal
How they continue to handle Pac Man speaks volumes. He's had more than one stupid interaction since being here, regardless of outcome. He was a massive part of the playoff meltdown last year. His play, has declined. The team could realize a cap savings in getting rid of him, knowing they have other CB's on the roster and the draft coming up. That move would also aid in keeping another player (Kirkpatrick, Zeitler). What do we get ?? Nothing. No accountability. Like I said, it speaks volumes. It's just what this team does. I expect him to be extended on the cheap, while both Kirk and Zeitler are allowed to walk away. I'm sorry to be so negative lately with the team, but I'm really about at my wits end with this organization. Sad and pathetic.

Pac Man brings enough to the table, actually a lot. So you don't throw him away for the sake of accountability. Wait for the league to decide then make the decision. ArmyBengal
Like I mentioned, there are more reasons than simple accountability to show him the door. That should be an important aspect that this team clearly lacks (more my point), but there are other reasons nonetheless. There are many teams that consistently discontinue dealing with players that create more headache than they are worth. Haven't we reached that point with Pac Man ?? How many stupid interactions has this guy had here ?? Maybe we just continue being that team that doesn't care about character and the narrative actually fits ?? If his departure aids in bringing back Kirk, that's a good use of that coin. That's 3 first round corners still remaining, some depth, and a draft full of CB talent. FULL. Why bother any longer ?? AMPHAR
One of the advantages the Bengals build is cap flexibility or cap management. It's annoying as hell to us fans come Free Agent time. However, being able to hang on to players as they see fit is an advantage that isn't talked about. Cutting Pac Man at this time from my view is a waste. You don't need his cap room to pursue ANY Free Agent. Pending on what evaluation service he's a top CB. I don't see the advantage in releasing that type of CB into the FA pool. Now if the league comes out and says it's a year. Maybe you consider cutting him? Half year, maybe the same. I would lean in that direction for cap room later on in the year as they always pursue extensions and my doubts he would be ready instantly when the suspension was up. No suspension? Keep him all day long. You aren't doing yourself any favors releasing a top player from a franchise position. A couple games? Tough call. I don't really care what other teams cut. They all have an unsavory portion on their roster festering under the skin. A portion of the player pool is tainted. So they may cut 1 guy and house another trouble maker. Probably depends on what they have on their roster and how they view that player. A couple months ago Floyd cut from Arizona off his second DUI was a target of some fans. What's the difference? He may or may not fuck up again but clearly the risk is there. I'm willing to bet Arizona did that because they knew he wasn't going to be resigned by them anyway. HoosierCat
It's just rock stupid. Look, I've been in the back of a cop car once or twice. Rule No. 1: do whatever the officer says. Rule No. 2: STFU. Rule No. 3: when in doubt see rules 1 and 2. Those rules should apply not doubly, not triply, but about a billion timesly, when you are an aging player set to make $7 million next season and your team is looking for ways to keep a younger guy at your position. But no. Bitch. Suck my dick. I hope you die. Jones, you are a gawd damned idiot. You just punched your ticket out of the league.

HoosierCat
Pacman's (lawyer's) statement via Josina Anderson's Twitter: Statement from #Bengals CB Adam Jones to me via his attorneys: Adam Jones is deeply embarrassed and remorseful for his conduct and language after being arrested in early January. Mr. Jones has the utmost respect for law-enforcement and the difficulties police encounter on a daily basis. As it relates to the allegations, and upon advice of counsel, Mr. Jones will not be commenting upon legal proceedings at this time. Mr. Jones is committed to the process of counseling and anger management, in order to ensure that such situations never occur in the future. Adam loves Cincinnati and considers it home. He sincerely apologize to the officers, the Cincinnati Bengals organization and all the fans in Cincinnati. Timothy E. Schneider Esq Alex Triantafilou Esq. COB
Bengals apologized to their fans for Adam Jones' behavior. WTF. They should apologize for keeping the coaching staff around when they're like 3 years past their expiration date. Adam is an uncontrollable tool when he's drunk or on the football field. That first round rookie who spent the whole season on IR will probably be running through 8 million drills at the facility tomorrow to let the Bengals determine Jones' expendability. volcom69
I don't want this fool on this team, I don't care how good he is! Its obvious Marvin can't control him on and off the field. He losses his cool way to many times on the field hurting this team with 15 yard penalties! Cant wait to tell me kids when they ask hey daddy who is that number 24 guy back there playing. He is an awesome dude, gets arrested tells cops to suck his dick, even tells them he hopes they die! This guy is a genuine Turd! Why keep giving him chances anymore.
