HoosierCat Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 Dehner's top takeaways from the first week of camp (more at the link): -- McCarron uneven-- AJ on a mission-- Hall edging toward safety-- Geno looks like Geno again-- Kroft emerging from the rest of the TEs behind Eifert Quote
GapControl Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Geno looks like Geno again... If true, it moves the D 10 ranks higher than if not. Quote
kingwilly Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Geno looks like Geno again... If true, it moves the D 10 ranks higher than if not.Agree to the extent that MJ and the backers can be strong, too. DE still a weak spot in my view. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Sounds like Marvin not happy about Marvin Jones working on the side again. Not even sure what's up with him Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 Practice today closed to the public due to inclement weather threat. They'll practice in the stadium, only media get to watch. So expect fewer/crappier updates today. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 Sounds like Marvin not happy about Marvin Jones working on the side again. Not even sure what's up with him He's an injury-prone wideout who will never reach his potential because he can't stay on the field? Yeah, I hope not too but this crap's getting old. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 And in another stunning surprise, our $7 million MLB is out again today, too. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 6, 2015 Author Report Posted August 6, 2015 Once again, ladies and gentlemen, your hard-working cincy sports media... Paul Dehner Jr. @pauldehnerjr 19m19 minutes agoWhen it rains, it pours. Also when it rains, we prefer the press box. #SoWeak #Bengals Quote
volcom69 Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Yea Hoosier it's getting really annoying anymore. I understand injuries happen, but for this team it's always the same guys. Somehow those guys continue to get money to start/play, but every time I turn around there on the sidelines. No wonder this team never has a chance to prove if they are really good, so many good players are always injured! #Frustrated Quote
GapControl Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 There is hope. houshmanzadeh was banged up his first two years in the league, too Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 There is hope. houshmanzadeh was banged up his first two years in the league, too Good ol' T.J. I still have his jersey. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 No Marvin Jones again today. Now saying its "leg soreness" which probably means he has the plague or something.First Name Rey still working on the side... Quote
volcom69 Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 I am hearing good things about Greg Little in this camp. If he can hold on to the ball then maybe he will actually be good. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Reading some of these reports from practice, sounds like all the QBs suck! Quote
volcom69 Posted August 8, 2015 Report Posted August 8, 2015 McCaron and Alford the big winners today according to Denner. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 9, 2015 Author Report Posted August 9, 2015 Iloka looks ready for the season to start...https://vine.co/v/ew0qnADI1hA Quote
COB Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Iloka looks ready for the season to start...https://vine.co/v/ew0qnADI1hA That would be a personal foul, 15 yards, in a regular season game. Even though he hit with his shoulder, and made contact below the receiver's shoulder pads, they'd say it was a hit on a defenseless receiver. It's actually one of the exact hits they want to drive out of the game. Iloka is awesome. If Geno really comes back, and Johnson gets healthy again, this defense is going to be really, really, strong. Corners are looking great, safety looking great, D-line and ends full of potential if they can stay healthy. That leaves linebacker. If by some miracle Tez makes it back, forget it. They'll be scary. TJJackson Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Firstname FN F'n Rey back at practice today http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/18278/bengals-rey-maualuga-injury-list-activated-back Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 How is Brandon Tate fourth on the depth chart at WR and still first at PR. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 This is an exciting rookie class from what I'm seeing. Derron Smith looks like he could be a starter at safety, PJ Dawson looks like a starter at LB. Offense the TEs look great so far, and Alford looks great and fast. Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 11, 2015 Author Report Posted August 11, 2015 How is Brandon Tate fourth on the depth chart at WR and still first at PR.My theory is that he has pics of Marvin ****ing a cow. Quote
kingwilly Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 If they can't get a guy like Alford back on return deities, we will know (again) that this team is not serious bout making moves that afford them the best chance to get better, win.... Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 11, 2015 Author Report Posted August 11, 2015 Jints in town today and tomorrow. Boling, McCarron, Gilberry all not practicing today. Alford, clearly jinxed by willy, has first muffed punt of camp. Quote
