ArmyBengal Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 This was MUCH tougher than the last two years. How long do they think this window remains open ??Not overreacting, but this really gives me pause to how I view things moving forward with this team.Everyone involved deserves all the bad press they are sure to get. EVERYONE. Quote
COB Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 3 years in a row, can't do anything in the playoff game. They need to make some changes. Unfortunately, I doubt those changes will be made.If we lose Zim, but stick with Dalton and Gruden, we won't have to worry about getting beaten in a playoff game, because we won't be in a playoff game. volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 This one hurts more then other years. For once I really felt like Marvin had this team loose, focused and ready to go. Well shame on me for trusting this team to be anything different Quote
gregcook68 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 We are the pre-2004 football Boston Red Sox, with the exception that they had better fans. Quote
cincyhokie Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Who really gives a s**t? I mean honestly. What the f**k is going to change? Quote
COB Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Just saw Pele on a subway ad. Most interesting thing I've seen all day. Quote
volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Starting to think the window is closing I really do. So glad all these players were resigned to get to the playoffs to lose again. Don't trust coaches or this team anymore, so freaking angry right now Quote
ArmyBengal Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Oh yeah, good luck selling tickets next year. They won't be able to pull that blackout threat again either. Quote
glasgowbengal Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 This is a rookie head coach and staff they're up against too. Quote
volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Nope blackouts like crazy I see it coming!!!Here San Diego having a new coach and already has done something Lewis couldn't do in 11 seasons, how sick is that Quote
rwjcgc Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 The NFL Network Sirius channel analysts yesterday afternoon gave Dalton terrible reviews and expected him to falter again in the playoffs.I thought they were dead wrong and that Dalton was ready to take the next step. They were proven to be on the money and I was proven wrong.I do think the Gio fumble was the turning point of the game though, after that I think the team started pressing and kind of fell apart. If theymake the touchdown there, I think they go on to win. There is something to be said for momentum, especially with this team! Quote
volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 The fact that the fumble happened in second quarter, and they fell apart, that says something about this terrible coaching! Quote
gregcook68 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 If you feel like ranting and raving in a nice environment, go to the Bengals Forum!I imagine they will hang the team in verbal effigy! The thing is, I expect Marvin to stay because of the relationship with Brown, but you can believe Zimmer will be gone first chance he gets. Don't blame him whatsoever!!It is truly frustrating, but you know what keeps me grounded is priorities. I like my sports but it's just a game and thankfully I have my priorities in the right spot. It's not my life like so many in the Bengals forum. Quote
bwillycuse Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 the fumble was not the turning point. we went to the halftime with a field goal after that.still maintained momentum. the turning point was coming out in the third quarter doing nothing on the first drive allowing them to score then having three straight turnovers. bottom line they maDe half time adjustments. the Bengals did not. volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Yep I agree it's just a game, life moves on. I do though just get tired of it, which is starting to make football hard to watch anymore. This team sucked for years, then became mediocre, then turned it around making the playoffs, now can't win a game in the playoffs. Better yet have not even been competitive in a playoff game. It just gets tiring anymore! Quote
bwillycuse Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 We will all be back next year. But if mike brown wants the same results, so will Dalton, gruden. Quote
Tommy Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 At least you guys made it and had fun watching football for 16 weeks. Chargers are a good team. They'll get stomped by Peyton next week, so you got that though. Quote
bwillycuse Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Last two weeks. Dalton seven turnovers. Opponent. None.So. When is he supposed to learn about taking care of the ball? Quote

volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 I guess this is just who Dalton is so get used to it. It's very frustrating not being able to trust a guy in these big games. Quote

volcom69 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Marvin said Andy will be the starter next season.I just don't see changes coming at all Quote
cincyhokie Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 I'm calling 8-8 and no playoffs next year. This was the kick in the nuts that sends ML into his end of term tail spin. No coming back from this. Sorry. Quote
