Hobs tweeted that Green left the stage at the pep rally "with a little hitch" in his step and was going in for more treatment. Still doesn't sound serious but my bet is they sit him for the next few days at least.

Green shelved for at least the weekend. Knee bruise.

Knee bruise? Are you buying that? Supposedly he landed weird and now they're saying it's a bruise. Did the knee bang into something hard? I'm glad they're saying that it's not serious but seeing as how I don't believe the "bruise" diagnosis, I'm left to wonder why I should believe their statement of "not serious"?

From the way it was explained when it happened was "He came down hard" I was left to assume he hit the ground.

Then again, I could be wrong. I don't care what they call it as long as he's back sooner rather than later.

You can work yourself into a panty bunching froth if you want, sea ray, but by all indications its not a big deal.

Pitta carted off in Baltimore today with a dislocated hip. Already ruled out for th e first game.

Brown had a player taken away by ambulance. Name withheld pending notification of family so that can't be good.

Jeremy Maclin of the Eagles went down in practice...word is torn ACL & MCL.

So that's not optimal...

Pitta is done for the year according to Schefter. That's a tough break for the Ravens. With Boldin gone Flacco has now lost both his top receivers from last year.

Absolutely. PFT had a blurb up this morning that its a really rare injury in football. One study found eight cases in college, two of which led to the same bone death issue that killed Bo Jackson's career. So this could potentially be career-ending for Pitta.

I'd much rather be where we are than other teams (Dennis Pitta, Percy Harvin) but I think we hardened Bengal fans should share a skepticism about what we're told about player injuries. I don't think we knew at this point last year how serious Dre Kirkpatrick's injury was and I could list many other examples if you'd like

I know them all, but with a clean MRI and a million media on site due to hard knocks, hard to equate this to other examples.
