Took a look at this site today. Has some pretty good crunching of guards and centers in 2010 and 2011.

Notes: Travelle Wharton makes the top 10; Jacob Bell ( Retired ) comes in at 17; Bobbie Williams at Number 1; Nate Livings made it into the TOP 20 WORST list

None of the before mentioned players ranked in 2011, though

Of course they do it on purpose.

For one, they know the players in the division better because they face them twice a year.

Next, the Bengals O-Line has always done a good job negating the Raven's pass rush.

Finally, they want as much intel about the Bengals as possible since we start the season at Baltimore

Besides the Raven's have a knack for picking O-Linemen off the scrap heap and getting a good year of two out of them. See Birk, Matt or Anderson, Willie or McKennie, Bryant is is not just about the Bengals.

I think it's pretty clearly this. I don't think they really expect Williams to play much, if at all, of a role for them. They simply want to squeeze his brain and then let him go. If I'm Williams I sign and then don't tell them s**t until after cut-down to the 53 man roster.

Never really cared for these ratings/stats with o-lineman. There's way too many variables involved to accurately assess them this way, most notably the type of offense they're playing in. Breakdowns/missed assignments are one thing, but if your QB is getting rid of the ball 99% of the time with a 3-step drop in a timing-based system (Brat/Palmer), he's not getting sacked much no matter who is in front of him - it's why Alexander gets away with just putting big fatties on the line who are simply hard to move or get around quickly.

Gruden's offense is different though obviously, and you saw the weaknesses of some of these guys really show through last year, making changes and draft picks necessary. I still think the C position is a problem, Cook is an ideal back-up/depth guy, but his talent level is no higher than that.
