volcom69
They are the bucs of last year! One decent year and they don't need anyone good thing we got the young guys. So sick of brown during FA
membengal
On an up note, bengals still first in cap space...
bwillycuse
On an up note, bengals still first in cap space...According to Hobs, Bengals are only 29 million under the cap after the tenders and rookie pool.ANd they have like 5 more in house free agents to sign. Its tight. Very tight.
derekshank
Not a popular opinion among fanbases... but free agency doesn't end after the first couple of days. And there is still a lot of quality to be had out there. 71 of PFT's top 100 FA's still available.

The FREAKING BROWNS are rumored to be seeking a trade for Houston RB Ben Tate...WHY THE F*CK aren't the Bengals? Tate to me would be a great fit for this team, and if the f'n Browns land him while Cincy doesn't even explore that option???? I mean c'mon....http://houston.sbnat...browns-nfl-2012
ArmyBengal
And Grubbs goes to the Saints for 36 million over 5 years with a 10 million signing bonus.Wow, amazing how a Super Bowl team chock full of talent and less than 10 million under the cap makes this happen.Honestly though, the Bengals could have offered him much more and he probably wouldn't have taken it.BRING BACK BOBBIE WILLIAMS !!! Sad...

My bet is that they're unpaid interns.I long for the day when the Brown Family will realize they need REAL NFL people to run this franchise. I know Nepotism will always exist, but give them "paper titles" and hire real NFL people to do the jobs. A true GM, someone who has connections, is aggressive, will explore trades, is proactive, and can WOO and SELL Free Agents on coming to Cincy (not driving them around town in his Lumina). Someone who knows how to manage and be creative with a cap, and not jettison players now for what may or may not happen 2 or 3 years from now.......Look, I have no problem with Mikey boy hiring his daughter, son-in-law, 1st cousin, step-aunt, 3rd cousin twice removed from his mother's side, whatever....Just give them a token job and salary like others do. ENOUGH WITH IGNORANT PEOPLE MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS!
ArmyBengal
On to some no name that has less experience than what we have on the roster already or someone coming off a season ending injury.I'm serious when I say they should bring back Bobbie. At least he knows the system.

At least he knows the system.I'd be okay with Bobbie coming back if it ment Nate Livings was gone. That's why I say that now.He would have Boling sitting behind him and with DeCastro on the other side, they might just get through.Bobbie had been very durable up until this recent injury. I just don't think that was the plan early on.Who knows anymore ??
Sea Ray
Where does Bobbie stand officially? Is he unsigned for next yr and if he is, are there any teams kicking his tires?
ArmyBengal
From my understanding on Bobbie, the Bengals are trying to figure out where he stands after the broken ankle from last season. With him being broke and McGlynn moving out, Boling is currently #1 on the RG depth chart. I wanted Boling coming out of college and still can't believe we got him in the 4th. I really hope he can develop into his potential sooner rather than later.
HoosierCat
While we're on the subject of the o-line, per his twitter McGlynn has signed with Indy. Obviously no big loss but just as obviously the team does need to sign some guards one of these days...
ArmyBengal
That's what I was saying about Boling being #1 on the depths charts.I'm really hoping Otis can be a backup this season. He's going to be needed at this point.

Stripes
The "plan for the future" stuff might be annoying in the immediate present, but when many of the best young players on your team are being paid 2nd round or later rookie contracts -- it's legitimate. I'd like to see them try to address some weaknesses before the draft, but I don't demand or even want a top free agent for the insane price that they'll all cost. kenyon1977
Would it really kill them to at least put forth some kind of effort for the fans? I mean I know the FO already thinks the fan base is just a bunch of slack jawed knuckle dragging retards with bank accounts for them to exploit but would it really kill them to fake interest in putting together a decent roster? They could "leak" stories to the media that they are 4th in the running for Manning, or a few good stories that they have visits lined up with 20 FA's making it look like they are big time players in the pool; just to give fans some kind of hope that we'll see a great team this year instead of the struggle we'll see against any team that is above .500 Deep down we'll all know that they are not serious but it would give a slimmer of hope like the first few minutes after you buy a Powerball ticket and think about the s**t you would do if you won and then reality slips back in when you walk back to your 99 Altima to drive back to work.
