BengalszoneBilly
/>http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6167421not arguing for or against just yetThe Jets also just released Vernon Gholston. I felt he'd be far better in the 4-3 than the 3-4.
Whur CHad At?
Wouldn't mind Harris, never a bad thing to have mucho d lineman
volcom69
I would like either guy for depth and a good rotation.
HoosierCat
Pass on Harris. Bengals have enough guys with injury issues already.
ArmyBengal
No to Harris as well. Started off well, but injuries have taken their toll.Besides, with Zimmer and Marvin already claiming Odom and Geathers stick around until MJ and Dunlap continue to progress, it's more money spent. ArmyBengal
Oh yeah, F*CK NO to Gholston.I also saw a blurb the Packers might sh*tcan AJ Hawk if they can't redo his contract.
Trevor
Why not,.. Make tank play better or release him
COB
Gholston, classic workout warrior who didn't work out. He fits half the profile, he's washed up.
BengalszoneBilly
Gholston, classic workout warrior who didn't work out. He fits half the profile, he's washed up.Wait! That can't be! He looked so good in his combine!
TJJackson
I will definitely go with a no on Gholston, is a modern era Mike MamulaHarris is still intriguing to me, good blend of youth and experience. Worth a RT plane ticket and a looksie, I'd think.
BengalPimp
http://sports.espn.g...tory?id=6167421not arguing for or against just yetI'd rather sign Kris Jenkins (just released by Jets) to plug up the middle. He should be inexpensive coming off an injury, and if he can occupy 2 defenders, that will GREATLY help out Dunlap and MJ at the End spot. COB
I will definitely go with a no on Gholston, is a modern era Mike MamulaI don't know if it's true or not, because I read it on the internet, but I heard that Gholston was due a $9 million bonus after his third season if he had recorded, anytime during his first three seasons, a sack, a forced fumble, or a recovered fumble. Epic bust.

Epic bust. These kind of escalators sound unlikely. But if there is even the slightest bit of truth to it, I'll bet dollars to donuts that his playing time was kept to a minimum once they realized he was never worthy of a 1st round pick (let alone 6th overall). ArmyBengal
Until the Bengals dump some of the guys that are capable of playing both the DE and DT spots, I don't think they make many (if any) moves on the d-line.That's not to say we couldn't get better play, but being forced to think the way this organization does.God this sucks...
