BengalByTheBay
You really should avoid reading Chad related stories, Hair. You've got your health to think about. This can't be good for your stress-level.

volcom69
UHHHH, i cant stand Chad anymore. I miss Chad Johnson, the guy who all he cared about was winning football games, and actully getting better. The guy who used to spend his nights at the facility in the offseason just to get better. Now all the guy seems to care about is, tweeting, reality shows, finding a new touchdown celebration. Chad oh Chad where have you gone!!! HairOnFire
Hey, I'm all for it !!! If he gets to use said props, that means he scores (which is a good thing) Clearly you haven't been paying attention. Because most of Chad's "celebrations" are now limited to pregame boasting. Few gameday celebrations actually take place because Chad can't score as often as he once did. So he jokes about firing off a musket when playing against the Patriots or blowing Ragnar's horn if given the chance. In reality Chad's become a WR incapable of producing more than one or two good plays a game if doubled. In short, he's what you'd get if you gave Derek Mason a megaphone, clown shoes, and a big floppy hat. Of course the trade deadline has passed now, but let the permanent record now show that I would have happily traded Chad for anything, including a sandwhich made from two slices of stale bread topped by tiny pieces of shid. Because that's equal value.

Because that's equal value.Oh, I HAVE been paying attention. I also know that Chad has always been a tough guy to cover one on one (which is why teams use double coverage) I also know that Chad used to also beat double coverage more than he does now...BUT unlike most, I don't put that entirely on him, as Carson used to have more time in the pocket than he does now, and single, double, even triple teamed, if you give Chad enough time, he will get open. We just don't have that luxury. On the same note, T.O. wouldnt be doing jack-sh*t either if he were the one being doubled. Problem is....If Chad is constantly seeing double-teams, you'd think one of the other guys would be able to exploit that more? (except for T.O's 200+ yard game which he should thank Chad for) That falls on them. A lot of people don't realize (or want to admit) that if Chad were gone, T.O. would draw the double coverage, and then our entire WR corps would be complete sh*t, because you'd be relying on Caldwell, an injured Shipley, or even Jerome Simpson to do something, because T.O. would be blanketed."Douche" or not, our WR corps is MUCH better off with Chad. ArmyBengal
So instead of starting a new thread, I figured I would just add to this trade Chad one going on...What the f*ck is Chad trying to say with his comments from his and T.O.'s show ??Cowher made the comment that Chad, not TO, should be on the most overrated player in the league list and Chad said this:I was dealt a deck of cards and that deck of cards was the Cincinnati Bengals. With that deck of cards I was dealt I've been playing my hand very well.I'm not exactly sure what he means by that, but I can tell you, I don't like the way it comes off and the implication that he feels he has been slighted his whole NFL career. To me it just smacks of a selfish player that is in fact underachieving, AGAIN, and when pressured to respond to a legitimate thought, he goes into full bitch mode.I don't know what anyone else here thinks, but it's yet another time to respond with a great big:F*CK YOU CHAD !!!Maybe I'm wrong and he really meant that to mean how much he loves Cincinnati and how he's really going to be focused next week...I mean, because that would be really great./>http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/27/t-ocho-show-delivers-again/

To be overrated you have to at least be held in high esteem by someone. I don't think there's anyone in the league or media that really thinks Chad is very good anymore. He has flashes and little spurts, then he disappears for long stretches, just like every average receiver in this league. I am so ready to see Chad and Bratkowski gone. If Marvin goes after this season, which is obviously a very real possibility, but we're still stuck with 85 and Bratkowski, next year's Bengals' season will grow into a giant vortex of fail that could threaten to consume all of southwestern Ohio. It's a matter of public safety - dump Chad.
TJJackson
it's yet another time to respond with a great big:F*CK YOU CHAD !!!Absolutely. He's never dealt with adversity well, to put it diplomatically, and this time is no different. The old adage about when the goin gets tough - well, he's not tough. He's a small child in a nfl player's body. This is yet another reason why this team will not recover this year. bwillycuse
So Chad has had a good career with the Bengals.Actually the best receiving career of any Bengal. This is a comment that will renew all of your hate for the man?Does anyone actually disagree with his statement? No one on this team has ever dealt with adversity well.Palmer? nopeMarvin? nopeBrat? less than nopeIts funny though..like Reedy - forwarding Florio fodder from a show that no one watches. I don't care if Chad stays or goes, but he isn't the reason why we are 2-4.
COB
I don't care if Chad stays or goes, but he isn't the reason why we are 2-4.Wrong. He's a huge reason. At crunch time he a. commited a penalty that pushed us out of field goal range, we failed to get back in and thus couldn't tie the game, b. the following week he let one bounce off him into a defenders arms, effectively losing the game for us.Chad in the 4th quarter is a major reason we are 2-4.Also, it is strange to see a comment from whatever reality shows Chad and T.O. have going. I'm a huge Bengals fan and I don't even consider watching them. So who does?
HairOnFire
So instead of starting a new thread, I figured I would just add to this trade Chad one going on... Yeah, but it still hurts a little....knowing the trade deadline has passed. Cowher made the comment that Chad, not TO, should be on the most overrated player in the league list... Why quibble? Owens ranked 1st while Chad ranked 7th. What the f*ck is Chad trying to say with his comments from his and T.O.'s show ?? Obviously that none of what's happened is his fault, including deliberately tanking a season, because Chad's simply playing doing the best he can with the difficult circumstances he faces. To me it just smacks of a selfish player that is in fact underachieving, AGAIN, and when pressured to respond to a legitimate thought, he goes into full bitch mode. I'm now picturing stilletto heeled clown shoes. Still stupid looking of course, but with a hint of mystery and danger. Who-Dey. Right now this team seems to be resting upon a tipping point. Tip forward and the offense finally stops self destructing, thereby restoring a welcome but temporary sense of order. Egos are stroked. Status is reaffirmed. The team still goes nowhere, but arrives short of it's destination with a portion of it's dignity intact. Tip backwards now and the team will fall helplessly into a full-on yet oddly insignificant meltdown...one that takes several agonizing months to play out. I'm a huge Bengals fan and I don't even consider watching them. So who does?I agree. There are several plays that make him directly culpable in two of the losses. This team has lost 3 of the 4 games primarily due to Chad and Carson. It is lunacy that they cannot get this offense to work until they go down 3 scores. Benson, Gresham, TO, Shipley.... FFS. TJJackson
it still hurts a little....knowing the trade deadline has passed. If it would help, the team could still simply release Chad and I'd then UPS (ground, of course) you that "shid sandwich" you requested earlier, and -- sitting there in a thick cloud of funny smelling smoke -- you could pretend it was obtained as fair trade value for OchodroppoJust tryin' to help, sweetie
ArmyBengal
So Chad has had a good career with the Bengals.Actually the best receiving career of any Bengal.Never denied what he "was" to this organization, but that does what for how he has been in recent seasons ??This is a comment that will renew all of your hate for the man?Yes, he's again showing how little respect he has for the team and us fans. Sorry, I'm not cool with that.No one on this team has ever dealt with adversity well.Again, sorry I'm not willing to give passes to any of them. Chad is an asswipe and so is anyone else who would respond this way.I don't care if Chad stays or goes, but he isn't the reason why we are 2-4.Maybe not "THE" reason, but certainly one of the BIG reasons they are.
