I'm not sure, but I think he had surgery on it in January or February.

Let me guess - the Bengals (on) crack medical staff gave it four months to not heal on its own before doing the surgery? That would be mega frustrating.

Bengals RT Andre Smith has yet to be medically cleared from his surgically repaired foot.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's report doesn't indicate whether this is a major concern. Smith, the No. 6 overall pick in last year's draft, has already undergone two foot surgeries as a pro. His role for 2010 is uncertain.

I seem to recall back in the fall invoking the ire of mem when I stated this guy was a bust in the making. I stated then that I hoped I was wrong, I still state the same. However, as someone pointed out, fat guys and stress fractures don't mix. 'Well he won't have stress fractures if he loses weight.' 'Well he can't lose weight if he can't exercise due to the stress fractures.'
