walzav29
1st things 1st. There are ZERO guarantee's we will win a game the rest of the way. I would rather play all out Sunday vs the Chiefs and that means everyone and not bring it to a 1 game on the road vs the Jets where they have nothing to lose. This team is too young to over come that. This week is a MUST WIN! I am in full blown panic mode. Caldwell is pissing me off. To me that's the 2nd game he cost the Bengals. I think they would have scored a td with barely anytime, or kicked a FG with less time than they had. Quan is a Steve Smith type. Leave him in. jjakq27
I am concerned that Peko might not be ready. Hopefully the other two can go but I am not so sure that Crocker will be ready either. He looked very "disabled" last week. Not sure if he has had time to heal? What exactly is wrong with Crocker anyway? They said ankle injury but is that a sprain, a bruise or something else? Ickey44
They can beat the Chiefs without them. Save them for the playoffs.
PalmerforPresident
exactly. we almost beat the hottest team in the afc without those guys. they will handle the chiefs with ease even without those guys. our offense should put up

coupdayta
Peko is a big reason while our run defense has been good this year. I think we should let them sit until the playoffs. (We're practically in anyways.) We get two big defense players back in a first round home wild card game and I think that will do a lot for us. No sense in possibly having them aggravate their injuries against weak teams and then not have them for the push to the Super Bowl.
jjakq27
If Peko is healthy enough, the only way he plays before the playoffs is if we need to beat the Jets to get in.

COB
Caldwell is pissing me off. To me that's the 2nd game he cost the Bengals. Don't forget how clutch Caldwell was for us in some of our early come from behind wins. That's a good young player, we've got to show some patience. Compare his contributions to the guy picked a couple rounds ahead of him - Caldwell looks pretty good.
ChadJohnson-85
Caldwell is coming along better then I hoped. Look at Adrian Peterson. He's been fumbling it a lot lately and he's a beast. Caldwell will learn to take better care of the ball as time goes on. And I don't even blame Caldwell on the last fumble that Palmer recovered. That was just a really good hit by the SD defense.
derekshank
Seeing how much they miss Peko makes me want the Bengals to get a first round DT to line up next to him in the draft. That, and getting Odom back next year could be a very dangerous D-Line rotation.

I would rather play all out Sunday vs the Chiefs and that means everyone and not bring it to a 1 game on the road vs the Jets where they have nothing to lose. We will win this Sunday.....I don't want to say this, because it sounds negative, but we don't even have to win another game to make the playoffs....I dont think the Ravens will win IN Pittsburgh this week, and they have Oakland after that, and as bad as the Raiders suck, They've actually beaten teams like the Bengals, Steelers, Eagles, and Broncos. But we wont have to worry about that, because we'll win this week.
Kazkal
Rest them it's more important to have them Healthy...If we lose to the Chiefs & jets final 2 weeks we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.PS,Hell we may make it as a wildcard at 9-
JoePong
I don't expect Peko or Crocker to be ready to play this week. I think they already said they hope to get Peko back by the last game against the Jets. And Crocker was listed as out before this weekend so it is doubtful he will be ready. And they won't rush him back after how he got reinjured in Minnesota. But if we can't beat KC at home without them, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. That would drop us to what, 0-4 against the AFC West, and 0-5 against the rest of the AFC
gregstephens
PS,Hell we may make it as a wildcard at 9-7 Not with our non-conference divisional record. But, that said, I agree if we lose four in a row to close out the season, 9-7 will look alot better than 4-11-1, but we won't deserve a playoff slot. Never seen it coming plus the angle of the hit on the ball was perfect. So it wasn't his fault at all.
walzav29
I was just mad at the time. The real culprit last Sunday were the penalties. There were just so many mistakes at crucial times, and I don't care what Marv says. NOT taking a timeout to have 3 shots at the end zone made ZERO sense. COB
I say play all out the last two games no matter the playoff situation. We're not the Colts. We need to get better. The way to do that is to play your hardest. These guys aren't made of china, get back to some smashmouth football and we'll have a better chance in the playoffs. ShulaSteakhouse
Yeah I doubt they're back before the Jets game, but they should be able to win Sunday without them.I want to see them pass the ball more like they did in SD - it leads to points and big plays. The "turtle-up" running game in the red zone is annoying as hell, and that mentality has hurt them. Their o-line isn't good enough to be a run-first team. The pass should still set-up the run here. This is the NFL not college. If this team can score 21 points or more a game they can beat anyone. Everything they're doing wrong is correctable, but we've yet to see it this year with the penalties - falls on the coaching staff ultimately. jjakq27
Peko, Crocker doubtful GEOFF HOBSON Posted Dec 25, 2009 Posted: 3:10 p.m. Defensive tackle Domata Peko (knee) and safety Chris Crocker (ankle) finished the week the way they started it and didn't practice Friday, usually an indication they won't play Sunday against the Chiefs. Both are listed as doubtful. Everybody else is probable.

HAPPYJAQ
I hope Crocker can play come the first playoff game?Anybody else nervous about Crocker playing next week? He's sure to be rusty. That said, the defensive secondary (and defense as a whole) is much different when he's not in there. I'm pretty surprised that the Bengals didn't pick up a veteran S, especially with the inconsistencies with Nelson since he's been starting. He looks like he'll be a solid contributor in time, but I don't see him as ever being starting FS material.
