BlainThePain Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I didn't see this posted anywhere. From Joe Reedy's twitter:http://forums.bengalszone.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post§ion=post&do=new_post&f=2#bengals DT Domata Peko had knee surgery today. Out at least two weeks but Marvin Lewis doesn't think it is a season ender Quote
ChadJohnson-85 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Peko should sit until the play-offs start. Just a little extra time. Quote
BlainThePain Posted December 7, 2009 Author Report Posted December 7, 2009 Peko should sit until the play-offs start. Just a little extra time.Hopefully we can beat the Chargers and win against the Chiefs and we should be able to sit Peko against the Jets. That would give him a good two weeks rest after he is supposed to be ready to play. Quote
Kazkal Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Sucks not having him vs Vikings & Chargers but rather have him healthy for the playoffs. Quote
ct_bengal Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 you could tell against the lions he will be missed, worried about AP now. run D is night and day when he is in ther. Quote
JoePong Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Good thing we can count on our offense to score plenty of points in case our defense struggles with having some key players injured! Oh wait a sec... Never mind. I forgot. I'v been told it doesn't matter if our offense is able to score or not. Quote
membengal Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 And with that, JoeP, I have dusted off the ignore function. Just so excessive and repetitive. Quote
Stripes Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Sucks. At least the more important of the [at least] two games he will miss is against a team that doesn't run the ball very well anyways in San Diego. It could be a problem against Minnesota for obvious reasons, but even they've been less impressive lately in the running game than they were earlier in the season. Peterson earns his puddin' by breaking tackles, and I trust the backers to minimize that. Hold him to around 4.3 a carry or less and we could still be okay. That's just an arbitrary number obviously, but yanno. Quote
volcom69 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I really thought the bengals struggled tackling against the Lions, i agree Peko out will hurt the d-line but they just need to tackle better. So lets hope they play better. Will they bring in another dt, or just use what they have? Quote
Pidge Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Excellent news that they didn't find anything else when having a clean up of the knee. I had arthroscopic surgery myself to clean up the cartilage in my knee. I was rehabbing just a few days later and I was a 16 yr old scrub rugby player with minimal talent or will power. Quote
Pidge Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Is Ed Johnson still kicking his heels on Skid row? Quote

They've done so well in that department all year and I figure the linebackers just had a bad first half.Maybe we'll re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-sign Orien Harris. Or is he here? Who even knows? Quote

Lol I think he's on the squad atm though I think we'll get by Okay...Sims & Tank starting is fine and then fanene more likely going inside on passing downs...Though late game is when I would worry and Sims & Tank get worn down.
