Esiason#7
The only thing that could have made this day better was if Minnesota didn't give up the two defensive TDs in the fourth quarter and handed Pittsburgh another loss. As far as the Bengals, no complaints. This was a game that was great from start to finish. It feels really great to go into the bye week at 5-2..... Pidge
Hell, even the coverage on kickoffs was no longer porous. All three units get A grades today.
Kazkal
Another thought I HATE BYE WEEKS .... Well resting players is good but no football next week \sad face....Hopefully Roy & Leonard are healthy for Ravens.
HoosierCat
The offense obviously got sat down and was told to stop acting like children. The difference in focus and execution was so stark from previous games that rustiness, bad luck etc was not the issue. I'm glad they fixed it and damn, this team looks scary good when both sides play well. The offense stepped up and it helped the D out. Complete team effort today.Yup. There were still some drops and dumb penalties today, but both were way better than the first 6 games. And that's all that was needed to fix the O. Now they need to keep it up. They got a bye to heal up and then the final division gauntlet before a run into what should be easy street.
Kazkal
I like how Cedric also put it that he doesn't wish things went differently in his early Chicago otherwise may have not ended up here acourse say that since he's with us but it's still nice to hear ^+^

Usually I wouldn't be so keen after a resounding win like this to have a halt in the proceedings. It's probably just what this team needs though. As you say, a time to heal up a little and for everyone to take a collective breath after what has been a hectic few weeks. Work on the positives and build on the confidence gained from this game and come back fresh and ready to go in the hard stretch coming up. wpeldios
Just feel the need to add in, If Leon Hall doesn't make the pro bowl it will be criminal. He has been one of the best corners in the nfl this year.
Pidge
Props to Crocker in this game. Not perfect but he'd had an iffy couple of weeks before this. Much better performance which stood out to me anyway.

He's had moments in previous yrs but this yr it seems like the light has come on. He's matured and week after week he's been playing well. No peaks or troughs. Just a consistent level of good play which is hard to do in this league.

Pidge
If we only even win one more divisional game it puts us in such a strong position. I'm hoping for at least two though obviously. But 4-2 in the division and at least parity in the tiebreakers with any other team would be good in its own right. If they take of business in the other games then all the better. Pidge
Also, no jinx, no jinx no jinx, it very much depends on how the football Gods treat us wrt injuries.
Kazkal
I'd feel much safer have 5-1 division since Burgh is beating us on Conf right now so would beat us if we had tied division records
volcom69
I would like to give some props to Frostee Rucker in this game, i thought he played a great game. If he can stay healthy he would be great all year. I guess i should say the D-line played great, but just wanted to throw Frostee's name out there. semiotter
Hey, I praise players when they deserve it, and I criticize them when they deserve it. When Palmer plays like crap, I have no problem saying it. Unlike some lemmings around here who think he should be off-limits when he plays poorly. He played very good today, and I give him credit. I stayed away from this board over the last week or so to avoid criticizing them after a loss. I usually only come here after a win.We hear u "Prongmiester" but all we here is Bulls**t. COB
that all of our division games will be played by week 12...Yea, when they made the schedule last year they figured might as well get the Bengals out of the way early. I'm sure the Steelers play the Ravens late, the schedulers figureing it would be for the division. Can't really complain, a team that starts the season 0-8 isn't usually considered a threat to take the division the following year.No one expects... THE CINCINNATI BENGALS!Also, all the piling on coming JoePong's way made me think of one guy I didn't notice in the game thread. Where are you Bax? HaHaHaHa!! TJJackson
Also, where is the blithering idiot who insisted Coles was/is done?Didn't he catch another TD today? My game ball goes to the offensive line, who plowed the road for Cedric and kept Carson sack free (albeit not perfectly clean) today....but that said, there should arguably be 45 game balls to hand out today - everyone contributed - we were a TEAM
Kazkal
Well trent has given up some plays he overall seems to be doing a good job not bad since he is a 6th round corner...

Kazkal
Yea, when they made the schedule I'd like to know how schedule's are decided when comes to home and away games Steelers & Browns both get Raiders & Chargers at home where Bengals & Ravens have both games as away...You'd think it would be split 1-

ArmyBengal
The o-line was monster today and the d-line got push to pressure Cutler. Everything else flourished around those two simple things.Have to love the complete game everyone here has been waiting for out of this team. I'm hoping they realized today just how dominant they can be when everyone is doing what they are suppose to be doing and stay focused. That was just a really fun game to watch from all aspects.Did anyone else enjoy seeing Cutler headed back out on the field in the 4th quarter like a dog with his tail between his legs ?? Hell, even Collinsworth made a comment about body language. Cutler can be a very good QB, but he has an equal amount of time where he looks like garbage. He looked like a little boy who got his first black eye in a fight he lost yesterday and yeah, I enjoyed it greatly !!!Maybe I missed it going through the thread quickly, but if not, allow me to also give credit where credit is due and say Brat called a good game.Say what you will because I think he's an ass mroe times than not, but it was a good game yesterday and he should share in that... ArmyBengal
Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure those were designed roll outs by Carson and was it just me or did he look very good moving outside the pocket ??Not to mention he was deadly accurate while throwing on the run. I'd like to see that more often as it seemed to really keep Chicago off balance.
