kingwilly Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Wow! Dexter Jackson sucks!yes, he is a serious detriment. I mean, I can MISS tackles and be out of position.Gotta get Lynch in there. If this is gpoing to be an embarrassment, at least let the young guys learn their way through it. Quote
Orange and black fanatic Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Somehow, someway, this has to turn around. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Wow! Dexter Jackson sucks! They really need Duke back, obviously, Jackson looks pitiful. Quote
kingwilly Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Cue the circus music. Jeezus....Benny Hill music might be better....with Rex Ryan handing ML, Brat and Zimmer their underwear. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 7, 2008 Author Report Posted September 7, 2008 The preseason wasn't a work in progress but instead a glimpse into the future.Try telling that to all the homers who cried "It's Only Pre-Season"! Morons. Quote
jonf45uk Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 lets hope for a "slight" improvement from the D this time Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Awesome now the O-line can't even line up correctly on the line of scrimmage...BRILLIANT! Quote
redsrule2500 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 O-Line is the entire problem. Seriously. Quote
jonf45uk Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 just noticed that Thornton's playing......................bugger Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 7, 2008 Author Report Posted September 7, 2008 just noticed that Thornton's playing......................buggerLook for him making tackles 4 yards downfield. Quote
Orange and black fanatic Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 The defense needs a stop in a big way. Or this could be over. Quote
jjakq27 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Very disappointing first quarter. Quote
COB Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Odom gets in and makes a tackle right away. That's a positive. Quote
Orange and black fanatic Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Now the entire O needs to get their s**te together and score a TD! Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 I'll give Zimmer credit for getting pissed off and spiking the ball (lol) even on a 3rd down stop when Jones blew his coverage (something we'll see a lot of this year with Deltha gone as the nickel). Quote
jonf45uk Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 chatman gets his stats off to a good start!! Quote
kingwilly Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 not good so far....we now know the status of the Bengals progress, or should I say regress?CJ and TJ look out of sync with Carson. Good thing they both came to mini-camp to stay tuned with Carson and CJ addressed his ankle/health like a pro...no, wait...Carson looks like he has no time and when he does, make the dumb throw....except for the physical skills being better, this is similar to Kitna-style play. Scottishbengal Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 O-Line is the entire problem. Seriously.Quote from Palmer via Bengals.com "We've got as good as shot as anybody. That's the great thing about this league. There's always hope. We've got two good receivers, a great offensive line, really good running backs with the possibility of greatness and an awesome defensive coordinator that doesn't put up with anything. Two good young corners. Why not us? Really, why not us?" Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 This defense couldn't get pressure on the QB if they blitzed 11 guys. It's amazing they can send more guys than Baltimore has blockers and STILL can't get any pressure. AMAZING! I honestly can not understand the problem. Is it a scheme problem or are the Bengals defensive players so much worse and less talented than we as fans were led on to believe? Whichever it is, it has to be corrected soon if this team will be anything more than an embarrassment. Besides that, didn't all the offensive lineman come out after Carson's broken nose and say they were pissed and were going to play with more pride and fire? If this is the O-line playing with pride and fire, Carson better get an extra insurance policy. Quote
jjakq27 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 CP looking decent so far.BTW, Brady injured for the Pats. Who is their backup? Quote
Orange and black fanatic Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 Unbelievable! Brat has got to go! The O looks about as prepared as a virgin getting his first action. Pathetic! Quote
