I have no idea what's going to happen. What he's not going to do is come in and break apart what we have going right now. That sure as hell is not going to happen. I don't know how big of a circus, how little of a circus. I like where we're at. Hopefully he comes in and fits in with what we've created here. duus
Can you see the first time Chad throws some negative words Palmer's way? I may be dreaming here, but I long for the video of everyone coming to Carson's defense on the practice field and Chad 'standing on an island'. With Chad isolating himself this offseason, it seems to have become unequivocaly Carson's team. No more putting up with Chad's sh*t or treating him with kid gloves. No more yelling at the QB. mgilgris
I was thinking more on the lines of Olen Krutz (spelling?) the bears center that broke the other guys jaw. I dont know if we have anyone that mean on the team though, or it would/should have already happened with Chad getting a slight correction. Sandwedge
I'm kind of hoping like hell that Chad does act up and somebody stomps a hole in his ass!!! Maybe it will be Carson "The Crippler" Palmer!!! I'm more appreciative every year that we drafted CP and I can't wait to see him light it up this year... With or without ass clown johnson... cincyhokie
Am I the only one that was pissed when Chad said he was coming back? Chad has no future on this team. None. Cut ties, get him out of here, and let's see what the Bengals could look like in the next 5-7 years starting NOW.

There have been plenty of teams that win with a balanced offensive attack minus a star receiver, i.e. Jacksonville, Green Bay. Run the ball consistenly, execute. ...and we have CP. If what Carson said is true and he feels that this team is better without distractions...why WOULD we want Chad back? He's not going to stop being a distraction. The team actually finds itself competitive in 2008, and Chad finds himself yearning for a return to the limelight. He won't find it dogging it on the bench. It'll consume him worse than an addiction to crack.
GregCook
Chad ought to throw a smack down Carson's way any time now. ESPN? SIRIUS? Right out of the Drew Rosenhaus play book

I was all for "let Chad sit" until he came out and told Carson to mind his own business... That was the end for me personally.. I know I stated somewhere that it would be better for the team to just get rid of him and have less distractions... I know alot of people believe we can't replace his 1400 yds, but let's not forget his 8 TDs... I think a good Redzone plan involving Utech and Perry could produce more than 8 TDs... I've seen both cases. I'll grant you it's a 50-50 proposition at best, but good men/players deserve those odds.

Cut ties, get him out of here, and let's see what the Bengals could look like in the next 5-7 years starting NOW.If he swallows his pride, I'm all for his return......PLAIN AND SIMPLE---We dont have anybody capable(yet) of replacing the 1,300-1,400 yards he gains annually.....Whether many want to accept it or not, that many receiving yards helps you score, whether its him or somebody else that gets the points, he moves the ball. walzav29
There is a chancew he comes in and apologizes to the team. He does have a good relationship with TJ. This hurts TJ's chances to win as well as his own. They have that old JC coach that has been trying to straighten him out. The facts remain. He really has no leverageHim acting out only hurts the team which hurts his teams chances to succeedCarson is great! I'm behind you Carson, take the lead and bring the big fellows with you (Willie, JT, etc.) when or if the Circus (Ocho Complete Fool-o) comes to town.
