BigBenBlows
Does anyone else agree that we axe Breshnahan and get someone else? I'm so sick of having a sh*tty defense.

Whur CHad At?
I have been saying this since we tagged him to be our d-cord. He is probably one of the worse coaches in football. The thing is...we need players to make this defense good, and we dont have any. Maybe for Leon Hall, who is improving every week, everyone else sucks ass. Justin Smith isnt a franchise player, Madeiu is flat out horrible, Landon is decent, Geathers is out of posistion. It is just a mess, and we have nothing but Chuckie and Marvin to blame for this s**tty non-talented defense
kentjett
I'm a Marvin supporter but Chuck is his little b**ch and that is why he is still around. Marvin fired Leslie because they had different ideas on defensive schemes. He hired Chuck because Chuck would do whatever Marvin wanted. Lewis has taken so long to fire him because he would be admitting he made a horrible mistake and Marvin is extremely stubborn. He needs to quit trying to do so much and hire good coordinators and let them do their jobs. His main job is to make sure his team is prepared and hiring the right coordinators for the job is his biggest challenge. They can make life as a head coach really easy or hell like it is now. Scott
Bresnahan needs to go and like six games ago. I got annoyed when the announcers said how well the Bills were picking up the blitz. That would've been great if we had actually blitzed. I think I remember three blitzes the entire game and one didn't count because of a penalty or a timeout was called. I think it's amazing that none of our active linebackers can cover down field. Yet, we don't let them play near the line of scrimmage to get pressure on the line????.I was okay with Bratkawski. But, why do we change our game plan every week? We have the talent to have an elite offense. We have the ability for opposing defenses to scheme around what our offense does. And we go into every game with a different approach.

And we go into every game with a different approach.Did you notice everytime we blitz we left the corners one on one with Lee Evans who toasted our secondary all day long. That is why you didn't see alot of blitzs because Jonathan Joseph was getting abused and Madieu is no help. We have the worse secondary in the NFL, I would say Coyle needs to go before Bres, but both should be fired because Bres can't even teach guys how to tackle. Week after week we see big plays come after guys miss tackles or take horrible angles, which is the most basic part of playing defense. We can't even get the basics right on defense and that is troubling.Wholesale changes must be made, it's starting to look like Hall is the only guy in the secondary who should be starting next year for the is defense. Wasn't Henderson a secondary coach in Baltimore, Coyle's guys are just bad, no horrible. Worst secondary in the league without a doubt, regardless of who is playing qb they will have success early and often vs. our secondary. Bengals1
I couldn't help but notice last night as I was watching the sunday re-cap on the NFL Network, the litle scroll at the bottom of the screen said, "Bill running back Marshawn Lynch has break out game running for......"Why is it other teams players always seem to have "break out games" against us or "Career days" etc... How many rookies and perennial back-ups have made they're name against one of our defenses over the years!?!Good God, what a disaster of a team we've become.... Wow - I was wondering if I was the only person that noticed that......I've also noticed that when they're doing a story on a team or introducing a team that's getting ready to play say a Monday night football game or another big hyped game they'll play quick 5 second clips of the team in action from the first part of the season. If you'll notice ... a good 30% of those clips are the Bengals getting burned. We are the practice squad, the crash test dummies, the stunt doubles of the NFL

And as a dimwitted fan I sit there and wish they'd quit showing my team getting burned, because it's making us look bad nationwide. Even sadder. duus
OK, I know that there will surely be coach-speak about 'not being out of it', etc ... BUT ...How smart would it be to bring in that D Coordinator of the future right now? Didn't I hear that Henderson was hanging around recently? Imagine how positive the fan base would react should the change be made RIGHT NOW. 8 REAL GAMES to tweak things, to see what is there and exactly what isn't. 8 REAL GAMES to try out new things. I say this is the PERFECT TIME unless Marvin thinks the right D Coordinator is currently with another team and is awaiting a promotion. Just seems to me that you could use the remaining half a season to jump start the next season, and especially the upcoming draft. This fan would have no issue with that move, and would actually find a lot of hope.

First, we're assuming that Henderson (or anyone else for that matter) would be willing to sign on. If you are an out-of-work defensive coach, how much of a hurry would you be in to climb aboard this wreck? Second, from the Bengals' point of view, there's something to be said for waiting until after the season when there will likely be a larger pool of candidates. cincy9275
the funny thing is we have 1 of the best d coordinator in the game today, but the problem is he is to ignorent to do 2 thing at once. o i can't run the defense and be the head coach at the same time. BULLs**t there are plenty of head coaches who multi task. look at the pats there defense is know as bills defense. hell i don't even know who there d coach is, but when they are mentioned it is as belicheck's defense. i am tired of hearing that sorry excuse marvin!!!!!
