We will win Monday

I really think that the combination of the last 2 weeks embarrassment, the best offense the Patriots have seen this year, and our orange uniforms we will win this game...

I just have a feeling. Call me crazy.

Anyone remember the vibe for the Monday night game against the Broncos in 2004? We had no shot remember?

Keep the Patriots off the field. Mix up the play calling, take some risks in the play calling, limit the turnovers, and we can win. The crowd needs to keep it loud too....

Enough of the excuses and the bad vibe.....they just need to focus and execute and they can win.

I meant to ask this question. Are there any fans that have never watched a night game at PBS on TV? I watched my first one 2 weeks ago against the Ravens not being in PBS for the first time....

That place is freakin loud people....you could tell there was a huge advantage for the Bengals when they were on defense that was helped by the crowd noise....

I'm not saying that the Pats will fold or get crushed....but the crowd will play a major factor in the effectiveness of the defense.

If you go (I can't even though I have tickets) keep it loud!

You had me up until the orange uniforms.

Has anybody used this one this year yet?:

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"

Seems somehow appropriate.

I'll clear the decks on Monday and dial time back to around 2004 Monday night against Denver and hope we get the same surprise. Game is going to get played, Bengals could win but it would be a very big upset. I like our chances alot better if Brooks, Rudi, Miller, Jeanty, Chris Henry and Chris Perry were playing.

Yeah the uniform thing was a joke. I really don't think that has anything to do with it. I do like the Animal House quote good stuff!

I live in New York. I can only make 3 games this year. My ticket goes to friends, mom, dad, etc.

Yes You are crazy ! The Bengals are TOO hurt and TOO young to beat the Cheatriots. It would sure be nice to be proven wrong, but I don't think I could watch this one. But I know I will, despite how bad the feeling in my gutt will be.

* I watched the game yesterday against the Seahawks and when they got the ball back at 2:42 in the game at their 40, I said to myself...

- Great, Now they have 1st and 60 and they're going to score.

- With the 1:00 on the clock and 3 timeouts, just before kickoff, I sat on the edge of my bed wondering, " How will we blow this game? ... Palmer's intercepted?, sacked?, And then the kickoff and the fumble.

The only thing I could do was laugh. Having Palmer keeps us competitive, but this team is 4 steps back from the '05 team. We are Too Young and Too Hurt.

- I would be extremely happy if we can get to the bye 2-2. But that would mean a win over the Patriots and I just don't see that happening.

We should get some guys back after the bye so I do see a winning streak coming up with the Chiefs, Jets and the likes. That will even us out in time to get back to the division games. Once Henry is back, I expect the offense to take off.

1. I think it's safe to say that Willie Anderson and Scott Kooistra need to be splitting time. There was absolutely no movement in the running game yesterday. Stacey Andrews was playing pretty well, and Maybe we give Bobbie Williams a rest too, because yesterday he had 3 whiff blocks which make at least 5 this year so far.

It was vintage Bungles, circa 1990-something, wasn't it? I know it took me back to those less-than-halcyon days, when game after game, season after season, the clowns in black and orange would leave us fans gaping in disbelief at their ability to find new, more creative, and ever more embarassing ways to lose a game. A defensive collapse in the last couple minutes, sandwiched between two special teams blunders...yeah, that was "classic" all right -- in all the wrong ways.

On the bright side, if they are reverting to form, then indeed: bet the farm on the Bengals next Monday. The old Bungles never failed to win a game or two each season they had no business being in; it was beating their fellow Pop Warner squads that was the problem.

Well I think it's quite possible you could have a longer time of possession. I mean, the Pats offense should march down the field for quick scores alot against the Bengals D, and maybe you can get a couple INTs. Then your offense just needs to fight it's way into the redzone, where the Pats D has given up a TD 100% of the time so far. Maybe get some 2 point conversions, and you could have a chance.

I really dont think this team can pull it toghter to beat the pats this team cant even play toghter half the time and the other half they look so confused and dont know where to line up. Im worried about the running game to. I really dont think they can get pressure on Brady hell they couldnt even pressure the browns, and chuck will probably make them play zone half the time and the slow secondary wont be able to cover randy moss or any reciever they have. Do u guys really the Jenty is that good that we are really missing him out there starting i really dont think so, i just dont see him coming back in and all of a sudden this def gets better. So now that maybe i put them down they will come out fired up and win the game who knows ill keep prayin for one though.

The Patriots are favored to win this game for a reason, and it's a simple probability that they will. Still, considering all the circumstance of this matchup, a Bengals victory would not surprise me. I don't expect much from the defense in this game, but I doubt the offense will struggle to run the ball quite as much (barring a lengthy injury to Rudi) as they did in Seattle. With a little offensive consistency, this ought to be a game.

I think we are going to get crushed. Not only are we hurting on D, but even if we're healthy, Bresh doesn't have the scheme or the proper play calling to stop the Pats. Brady is going to carve us up as usual. Our offense is good, but they are playing a good defense, so scoring will be tough. Chalk up another L for the Bengals. The Patriots are the best team in the NFL right now. If the Bengals win this game, it will be a miracle.

Hopefully your right and we win. :bengal: I knew the Bengals would beat the 9-0 KC. But this game.....I just don't see it.

I dunno. New England has the leagues #1 rated defense, which isn't too surprising. It matches their leagues #1 rated offense quite nicely. They possess the perfect team balance I've been yammering about for years, but hey... that's what good coaching does for an organization. The Patriots have it in spades. The Bengals are trying to play the same game, but unfortunately it comes out looking as though they're playing "Go Fish" in comparison.

IMHO the whole New England organization is committed to success in every aspect. From the owner on down. Sadly I cannot say the same about the Bengals. Especially from the owner. Mike Brown is an embarrassment, and it shows in the people working for him. I'm still not convinced he's rid himself of what traits drug us through the dark years of the 90's. My biggest fear? I can actually see the same kind of darkness approaching again. :( ~End Of Rant~

Bengalszone Billy once you are a Marine you are always a Marine buddy change that from former Marine. I was waiting for all the sooth sayers to get on here and declare that we were going to beat New England Monday. How easy is it for you go on here and say that, if we win you will declare for the next five years that you are actually an expert for predicting a win in this game if we lose nobody will call you on it because we are expected to lose. Did you predict us to lose to Seattle and Cleveland? I didn't think so, the Bengals are in big trouble there special teams is horrible, there defense is garbage, the offense scores just enough for us to lose they need to punch it in the endzone on turnovers not settle for field goals or nothing at all. The two teams we lost to are garbage Seattle and Cleveland don't stand a chance to do anything this year so where does that leave us if we are not able to beat those teams, New Englad would have killed both of those teams. Marvin Lewis and the boys would be on the frying pan in cities that command excellence.

I'm so disappointed in my Bengals. I don't see them winning this. Brady and the Pats have faced every different combo of big games and always win. The Bengals can't play defense or special teams, and make mistakes on offense. Rudi is hurt, Carson is pressing because of the defense. 1-3 going into the bye.
