DC_Bengals_Fan Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Allright, after that run, it's time to switch from beer to liquor. I can't take this defense anymore. It's tequila time.Looks like we were fooled a bit playing the Browns, Ravens, and Raiders. Too bad you can't play teams like that every week. Unless you get the Jets' schedule that is. Quote
palmmyjohnson Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 come on, how about a meaningful stop, mf-ing D, how about a gd meaningful stop. Quote
Spor_tees Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Who is that guy on the colts wearing #88? Man is he some kind of rookie or something? Oh wait! He has scored like a billion TD's in his career, is Peyton Manning's favorite WR, and yet the Bengals still can't cover him. Amazing...simply amazing Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 man this is bad its like a kick to the nuts. why does he look like a genius once again against us . Quote
Pinkygen Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Rnd 1 CB it is.Personally, I'd like a pass rush. But the need is all over. Quote
alleycat Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Well, on the bright side we get the ball back without too much time running off the clock...[/quoteIf we go for three when they go for seven (they've already demonstrated that they know how to win a game like this) all the time in the world won't help us. In fact, it just increases the margin by which we lose. I've been saying it since before our streak against terrible teams. Regardless of whether or not we get into the playoffs, we can't compete against real teams. Nor will we ever until we get a defense. What does it take to do that? Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 One of the worst coaching decisions I've seen in a long time. This is not a ball-control, let your defense make a stand kind of game. We have to score seven every time we touch the ball!!!! Why don't we just hand them the ball if we're not going to step up and compete with them?Nah, we found out last year how well it works playing that kind of game with the Colts. Look, this offense CAN be stopped. They haven't scored at will this year like they did last year. Peyton can most certainly be beaten, if you play him right. For one thing, you hit him because he's a nancy-boy and he doesn't like it. You dance around at the line to let him confuse himself. We have to make them run. Put 7 DBs out there I don't care.Don't be a fool and make the mistakes of comparing the Colts performance against other teams to the colts performance against our team. It's pretty clear tonight who the worst defense in the league is.No, really, I'm talking about some not-so-good teams. Like Tennessee and Buffalo who held the Colts under 20. This offense can be stopped if your DC isn't a neanderthal.HEY CHUCK! What you're doing - it ain't working. Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 have to score 7 on this drive Quote
palmmyjohnson Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 well, on the plus side, at least we don't play the colts next year. Quote
rishipatel Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 This defensive performance is just pathetic. How is it that Manning looks like a normal guy the past few weeks, then against our D he looks like superman? This defense is killing me. Quote
palmermvp Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Its not all on the defense. The offense must take advantage of the TO and we must score TDs, not FGs. Quote
Kazkal Posted December 19, 2006 Author Report Posted December 19, 2006 Rnd 1 CB it is.Personally, I'd like a pass rush. But the need is all over.Doubt any passrush ends worth taking in 1st when we pick....inless spencer sky rockets up... Quote
alleycat Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 The difference in the game remains Carson's fumble. 10 point swing that nailed our coffin shut. Quote
palmmyjohnson Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 is henry not even trying? come on.... Quote
alleycat Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Cut Henry. These half-hearted efforts are enough. Quote
Spor_tees Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I said it before and I will say it again...teams win by switching up blitzes and confusing Manning. Bengals are just laying back and letting him pick them apart.Nice alligator arms by Henry there again.Game Over after the Colts score here... Quote
