  1. Huber has been around a long time and has been a terrific punter. I was surprised he made it out of camp as I thought it was close or the new guy was leading. Now that the transition has been made hopefully we don't have a critical special teams mistake down the road tied to the new punter because that's all they'll hear about. Can't remember the year but Huber avoiding a blocked punt by going around his back is an all-time highlight.
  2. Chase returning to practice!
  3. Just for the record. The Bengals beat the Steelers 5 out of 6 in the early/mid 80s and then 6 in a row late 80s/early 90s. The current 4 out of 5 would be the 3rd best streak vs. Steelers The last back to back in Pittsburgh was accomplished in 2005 and 2006.
  4. Love hearing Steeler fans cry about the Bengals talking smack after a loss. Apparently they are mad at the Collins comments concerning Watt and the Bengals defense stating their offense was predictable. They should be thankful they didn't get the sweep this year.
  5. Don't know. Maybe it was the direction? I thought kick offs improved going the opposite direction. There has always been one end of that stadium that is a beast to kick into. They closed off one end of that stadium a few years back but it has been a bear kicking into.
  6. Titans never get respect. Up until the Bengals beat them in the playoffs, I thought they were truly the AFC best team and now they are rolling again.
  7. O-line gave up some plays but an overall good game against that front. Need to bring it back for Titans. Rolling up 400+ and 37 point on the road. Great offensive performance. The Bengals need to bury their "Pickens" into a decade of losing so he'll become a lockeroom nightmare.
  8. This. That was a Franchise QB drive for the ages!
  9. Which JC isn’t coming back til December? Jesus or J’MAr
  10. Paycor too close to the river for grass. The Original grass field was unsafe because they had to use a higher sand base for drainage and the never held up especially when it got cold.
  11. I think it was cheap because of the roll of shoulder and hook of the leg with the lead arm (crawl) while had a stable base with a knee and off hand on the ground. Didn't need to do that at all. Sure he may not have intended to blow the knee out. Also if you look clearly there was was smoke coming from the grassy knoll. Anyway the 2005 line was among the best that year and just because Kimo took Palmer's knee out in that manner (whether you determine it to be cheap or not) doesn't change that.
  12. Andy is a competent starter or was. He was never a guy to lift a team for a period of games. He is still very much a one read QB. Once that singular read is closed it gets iffy for him.
  13. Bengals flexed out of prime time. Consider their inability to win on NBC's Sunday Night football , I guess this is a good thing. I'm kinda annoyed because I think/hope they would have beaten the Steelers in prime time crushing that narrative. Kinda shocked they would flex the Steelers out of Sunday Night but they suck.
  14. No one said he was, but it is fact his line was among the best in 2005 season. It is also fact Kimo crawled into his knee. Argue those points if you wish.
  15. Whatever Bill Cowher. The ACL tear was a cheap shot plain and simple. The hit came after the ball being out, Kimo had a knee and off hand on the ground prior to rolling the shoulder into his knee.
  16. The o line was awesome with Palmer except maybe 2008 when they started to age. Made Rudi Johnson a star. Rebuilt it again and made Green -Ellis serviceable.
  17. You can do it!
  18. Offensive line wasn't ready to start the season. Since the first two weeks its pretty obvious to me that OL is the biggest failure point in the offense rather than scheme or play calling. If the OL can handle the other teams front 7 they'll put up numbers and dictate to the other team. We saw this NY, Miami, NO, Atl, and Car. Bengals will run the ball when they OL can actually block. Yesterday they owned the LOS against Cleveland they didn't. They simply have to be ready to put forth best efforts against Pitt and Tenn.
  19. Some big games coming up in the Jungle.
  20. Who Dey! Dominating performance.
  21. Eh, its a parity league. They are 9th playoff spot and a game behind spots 4-7 and only a game ahead of several teams. This team to this point simply hasn't stamped itself a "Super" team like we all hoped and dreamed. 1. OL is just simply a disappointment. 2. Offense in general still can't consistently make teams pick their poison like they boasted. Play calling? Scheme? All OL? Have no idea but this offensive unit while still youngish has never stamped itself a consistent top 5/10 unit across multiple games. 3. Injuries are now mounting. Beat Panthers by a point, go celebrate with some wings. Go from there.
  22. Lots of problems with that line. Williams on the edge in pass pro is a huge disappointment. Given the light boxes, DE more interested in pass rush, and LBs more interested in coverage the interior line/RB is a problem not to have more production in terms of average.
  23. Chido out for year
  24. Not a whole lot of details but the son of Mike Zimmer assistant Bengals coach passed away.
  25. Browns DE didn't really seem interested in setting an edge in the run game. Maybe that is something they should have tried to exploit early on with some counter trey action out of shotgun. I'm not sure screens or whatever would have worked early without slowing the ends in the run game. The inability of this line to win against a light box in the run game is a big problem across all 5 starters and RBs. Whether it be under center or out of shotgun.
