King gives props to Carman. Happy for the kid. He took a ton of arrows during the summer. Have no idea what the future holds for him but he's played big back up playoff snaps for this team 2 years in a row and held his own. Its just mind blowing how well that line played across the board.

Bills are an awesome team. Bengals are just better.

Eh, the o-line sunk the last two drives as well. One with a sack and another with a holding penalty. Both Carman. Its probably going to be an issue this week. I wouldn't be surprised with 4/5 sacks. A clear key to the game is how the Bengals manage this pressure. Hopefully they won't be drive killers. More than likely Burrow is going to have to overcome higher than normal pressure. I don't think the Bengal targets will struggle as much as the Dolphins did. Obviously Burrow is a play maker and play extender. I also don't think ZT is going to put Burrow in harms way like McDaniels did with Skylar running slow developing plays and late getting plays in. Hopefully the pressure comes as a slow grind/coverage variety vs. free runner types. Really if the opposite occurs and the Bills can't get high pressure with 4 rushing then the Bengals should win.

Volson? Its Left guard. Goodberry uses flawed logic and places to much importance of PFF grades. Volson is a bottom tier guard this year. The perception of his play in the media or with fans benefits in the same manner Billy Price did as rookie replacing a whipping boy Bodine. Volson benefits because fans didn't like the Bengals passing on Sewell and then not taking the "name" choice in the second, Carman hasn't been good but Volson doesn't have twitterverse posting clips of every time he's thrown around. At the end of the day its still "Left Guard". The bigger issue is the average to below average play they got on the edges at LT and RT. Volson hopefully will mature into a decent guard. This year they were able to produce offense at a top 10 level so you need perspective of what the job of the O-line is. This unit throughout the year allowed for top 10 production, given the skill players cover greatly for the line. For this game they are clearly going to give up pressure. Jeff Blake made plays with a horrible O-line, so will Burrow.

Peyton Manning is/was a big fan of Callahan so that might have some influence with the Colts.

Hopefully Lamar is traded out of conference.

I would love for the NFL to put the KC/Cincy game in Germany. But as said before that would be a major blow to KC home schedule. I would not want the Tenn/Cincy game to be moved. That's a big road trip for Bengal fans and with the Titans have down year it could be another chance to take over a road stadium.

This O-line is going to give up pressure. There's just no way around it, IMO. I'd imagine Buffalo is going to try to get pressure with 4 using various stunts to test the newness of the line etc. I think its really up to the Bengals RBs/TE to win one on one against the Buffalo underneath coverage. Need a lot of 2 yard catches with 4/5 yards of YAC. Hopefully the pressure that is given up is a slow grind vs. you "look out" variety. Hopefully the pressure Carman is going to give up will be a slow grind vs. getting beat off his feet in a split second or completely driven back into the lap of the QB.

Have no idea. I know he played some snaps in the AFC Championship at guard and didn't fall apart at all. Better get your edge protectors some help in terms of chipping, favorable down/distance, getting the ball out. PFF scores aren't reliable IMO because they don't account for the "degree of difficulty". Were the Bengals taking deeper drops when Carman was at LT? I think the Bengals need to exploit the Bills LB core with passes to the RBs that will function as long hand offs. Then hopefully they can get some YAC; which in turn gives them favorable down/distance later in the series.

So I'm snooping around on some Raven's message boards. What do I see? A reference about Raven's ownership, management viewpoint towards the fans with video of Charlie Brown trying to kick the football with Lucy pulling it away. 1st, its funny because that was staple reference for the Pre Marvin Bengals. 2nd, what a bunch of babies. They have 2 superbowls a slew of playoff victories, HOF players etc. That thread is the true measure of Joe Burrow's impact. Joe Burrow and Co. changing the AFC North pecking order to a point Raven fans playing victim, lol. -

My favorite defensive play prior to last night was Fulcher intercepting Jim Kelly in the endzone to seal AFC Championship. The Wilson/Hubbard play is probably the greatest defensive play in that stadium. I'm not joking around but that is on the level of the Steeler's immaculate reception. -

Really have to give it up for the Bengals and the City. Game day down at the Banks and inside that stadium are just another level. It is very enjoyable watching another generation of Bengal fans being born. -

McDaniels is so overrated. He did his QB no favors today. -

I was there. It was almost a year removed from when Marvin marched a Kitna led team into Baltimore tied for first in his first year as coach (was at that game too.) The beat down in 2003 was bad, fans were rude. So.... Bengals hopelessly down again. Fans rude. I almost walked out after that 3rd down. Trying to avoid the snow balls, insults, threats of life you know your typical Baltimore crowd behavior. Then they fumbled that punt. Palmer was like a NBA Jam video game when a player got into the zone. Darts everywhere. One of my favorite games. I used to have the local broadcast with post game on VHS, the shock of what happened was priceless. -

Just need to avoid big heads and bring the A game. There's no shame in the Bengals covering a huge spread. -

If Brown is the starter, I just hope the Defense doesn't sleep on him. Brown could have thrown 10 picks in the game, very inaccurate. Brown's 2nd half numbers are at odds with Lou's reputation of 2nd half adjustments. Mahomes gets shut down in 2nd halves? I assume it was vanilla. I don't like the repeat match up out of fear of over confidence. I think this team will bring the attitude to prove they are top dog in the AFC. -
I've never been a big believer in SOS in the NFL. Yes some teams are better than others but the margin isn't as pronounced as it can be in High School and College. The NFL typically see on avrg 4 teams in the playoffs that were not in the playoffs a year before. I think this year its 7. Teams can move up and down so quickly the schedule it what it is at this point. I'd like to see Cap room of each opponent.

Huntley isn't throwing during today's Raven practice. I just hope the defense doesn't sleep on this group of QBs this week. -

Buffalo would have to lose in WC in order for Bengals to host a divisional game. Both KC/Buffalo would have to lose to host AFC Champ game. If KC/Bengals meet in AFC Champ game it would be at KC, since they won the No. 1 seed outright in relation to Bengals.
