  1. Secondary room is very new. Coaching staff still isn’t 100% of the roles. Anybody making bold proclamations about playing time is just ignoramousmoose
  2. Zac Kuntz would be awesome. Probably won't make it to them. I'm not feeling OT at all. They have a bunch of bodies there and I don't see them adding to that derby without an exit.
  3. Is Dax Hill a full time Safety? Could his versatility create packages with 3 safeties? Don’t know but you have to love the overall speed and athleticism the DB room has morphed into. Now it’s seeing how the pieces fit together and seeing if Lou can get them playing as high a level as the past 2 seasons. Like last year with LG, clearly the Bengals are not obsessed with checking off a player to fix the last spot on the line. This year RT. If there’s a player they like they’ll take ‘em. If not, move on.
  4. They were down to 1 safety and I think 1 CB entering the draft. Just filling spots this year and next.
  5. Had the Clemson radio guy on locally. Basically said when Clemson needed a splash play, Myles delivered and it became so reliable. Needs to improve rush tools.
  6. Jags lost Taylor and Cam Robinson is facing suspension and sucks anyway.
  7. His tackles for loss and total pressures is impressive. A lot of draft profile knock him lack of finish and also needing to develop rush plan.
  8. The guy has been elite his whole football life. 4th overall ranked player in his class regardless of position. Above several fellow players drafted tonight. Impressive. You can also find dated draft info that once had him top 10.
  9. Quality pick. Hard to argue it really. The biggest thing is he was productive and yet they say still raw. A lot of upside. With 2 DEs taken afterward there will always be direct comparisons. There should be snaps for him. Their DEs have played a lot of snaps.
  10. I keep landing on CB, TE, or RB. Land these 3 positions in any particular order with the first 3 picks its going to play well with me. I don't see any pick that will be upsetting. There's snaps available at TE, RB, CB this year. Just about every position next year aside from O-line. TE and CB are supposedly the best position groups so there you go. We'll see.
  11. I don't disagree entirely with Hobson as the opening day "needs" can be reasonably filled. However, they are overstocked at OT and under stocked at RB, TE, CB when compared to what they usually keep for opening day. Is it by design? Probably. The talking heads have said the stronger position groups are CB and TE so they filled other spots via FA? Maybe. Everyone seems to believe RBs can be found (although I don't think it is that easy). I don't see OT early at all. Wouldn't argue with one and would be greatly surprised if the top tackle found its way to 28. But I consider this a non-prediction by Hobs. Might as well mock them Will Anderson.
  12. Gibbs would be awesome in the passing game. There are immediate snaps available. Thing that would concern me is it seems of the recent Alabama picks they've taken there have been missed games in the first year. Now Gibbs was a transfer in so maybe the Alabama grind isn't as pronounced. There are certainly productive NFL Bama backs to pick from. Forbes - was Lapham's pick (If he's there). This guy has risen in recent weeks. Fast, Long, Ball Hawk. Would love. But wondering about his size and the Bengals like run supporting CBs.
  13. Will Levis first overall pick? That would be crazy. I just don't see the hype around him in the first. 2nd/3rd? Yes.
  14. Wow that Florida guard has fallen a lot according to Mel. You still might be able to find some mock putting him top 15.
  15. Log jam at tackle. Before they draft they have 6 guys for 3 spots. Somebody leaving.
  16. Supposedly (from another board) Carman back at Paycor looking ready to roll.
  17. Just about any position can be justified as a "need" when factoring next year's Free Agents. As far as coming in and grabbing snaps TE and RB would be a top the list, IMO. But this is a good CB class and I would love to grab one at 28. Turner from Michigan would be awesome and you know they've been in that film and around that facility for a while since they drafted Hill last year. Forbes might be a first rounder now, he's getting a lot of mentions lately.
  18. I would think they'd have to draft RB Robinson in that scenario. That would be the director I would want them to go.
  19. Its just time to get a line that allows less than 35 and hopefully less than 30 sacks in a season. I'll take an all-pro tackle at anytime for the draft but it is sooooo tiresome talking about adding another piece to the line in order to survive after Pollack's unit has sucked up an enormous amount of FA dollar action.
  20. lol. Just don't ask him to practice in August or during game week.
  21. I have no hate for the Jets. That move makes the Chiefs and Bills schedule harder. Now there are a lot of interesting Jets games I hope they put in prime time.
  22. Eh, no problem with suspensions at all. I don't care what gambling partnerships the league is profiting off of. People tend to forget the players/owners are partners in the revenue pool and have agreed how to split it up. Reference the NBA ref (in his view) was just providing gambling picks based on his knowledge of the game. He went to jail and his picks were going all the way up to mob bosses. Of course Pete Rose. Pete ultimately got in so deep he supposedly had to start "betting" on his own games. I can't remember if that NBA ref was "giving picks" on his own game or not (I think it was). Then there is always the rumors about Jordan's dad. I also think Mike Vick dog fighting suspension was more about gambling than animal cruelty. You can get in the hole pretty damn betting on dog fights. Whatever the rule is, its there to protect the league and players. The league has all kinds of alcohol related rules and suspensions over the years. Yet they aren't saying no to that revenue and the majority of players would not want them to.
  23. Bengals were loaded in that era. Playoff melt downs and bad luck really robbed those rosters of recognition they deserved. Very similar to the late 80/early 90 Houston Oilers. Loaded teams that ultimately suffer a playoff let down. Carson Palmer robbed himself of a legacy skipping out on those teams. Its a healthy debate IF you remove Coaching and QB from the equation about which roster was better 2014/15 or 2021/22? Personally I think 2014/15 had a monster defense and a dominant OL. You stick Burrow and Taylor on that sideline with that team and its a monster, heck they only lost 4 games in 2015 anyway. Really a question if Burrow/Taylor leadership could have brought wild cards like Pac Man and Burfict.
