I think Burrow and/or Taylor and/or Pitcher and/or some combination of the three has gotten a bit spooked by the two picks Joe has thrown. Both picks happened when they were in or on the cusp of McPherson’s range, and the Panthers and Ravens both got FGs going the other way, so each was a six-point swing. For the Ravens it was the tying score before OT and for the Panthers it put them down just 7 in the 4th. So now they are getting skittish as they close in on the red zone and worrying more about not turning the ball over versus pushing it downfield. Which might not be that big a deal except Mac ain’t Money at the moment. Some short, high-percentage packages would seem to be in order, which would scream TE to me except the entire TE corps has like 4 combined receiving yards in the last two games. So I dunno what’s going on.

Eagles spent yesterday mauling the hapless Giants 28-3. It was competitive early tho. Philly didn’t get into the end zone for the first time until 6 minutes into the second quarter and it was 14-3 at the half. Barkley ran for 176 yards, so not looking forward to that. Iggles did lose RG Mekhi Becton to a concussion, we’ll see if he can get back for Cincy. Per Rapoport, OBj has “tennis leg” which teh google tells me is “a calf muscle injury that's commonly caused by a tear in the gastrocnemius muscle.” Good news is it doesn’t require surgery. Bad news is recovery time is 4-6 weeks. Also saw a report that x-rays were negative on Stone. So he banged up his shin but didn’t break anything.

What was frustrating yesterday was watching the offense fritter away the first half. Browns would have been up 10-7 at the half if their kicker could hit anything, and an actual NFL-caliber offense likely would have put up even more points. At the end of the day I'm not complaining. I will take a division win on the road any day of the week. But if the offense waits until Q3 to pull its head out of its ass against the Eagles or Ravens they will be staring at a 20+ point deficit when the second half kicks off.

Before I forget, I would just like to tip my hat to Dave Latham, who in his radio call of the kickoff return for a TD compared Charlie Jones to Nadia Comaneci. For the record Dave, i got the comp.
