  1. Brown, Rankins (illness) out.
  2. Jax gave up a 50 burger today so Lou has his work cut out for him tonight if he wants to keep up in the race for worst d.
  3. Falcons are crap.
  4. Jets are trash. Saints curbstomp the Clowns. Raiders are worthless.
  5. That would give them an additional $9.5 million in cap space to do nothing with, so good idea I guess.
  6. Looks like Tee will go. Hendrickson, Hill, Brown all questionable.
  7. Tanier on the teams vying for the last spot. https://substack.com/home/post/p-151603807?source=queue
  8. Like I said, I get it. It’s hard to justify bringing back a coordinator when his unit is giving up something like the third-most points per game in franchise history. Even granting sub-par talent, that’s still awful. My fear is that they fire him and then use that as an excuse not to get better talent.
  9. Can Lou if it makes you happy, but I doubt anyone could do better given the “talent” on the roster. Latest nugget that hit my bookface feed: Geno Stone now leads all safeties in missed tackles this season. Look back at the SB team and Ogunjobi’s gone, Chido’s gone, Bates is gone, Reader is gone, Apple is gone. In their place are failed draft picks and FA flops. But yeah, the DC is the guy who gets to carry the can when it all goes wrong, whether it’s really his fault or not. So I get it. Will it happen? I think he still has like three years on his contract and we all know how much Mike likes paying guys not to work, so…
  10. So they give the Bears a 7th for Herbert, he gets one carry and fumbles, now they’re working out Fournette. Whatever.
  11. My reaction to this: I guess. Why not? Who cares. https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nfl/bengals-hosting-four-time-pro-bowl-cb-attempt-save-season-1983868
  12. Week 14 note: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42291367/dak-prescott-planning-season-ending-surgery-sources-say sucks for Dallas fans.
  13. Per Field Yates they put in a claim but lost out to the Pats who were ahead of them in the waiver line.
  14. No need. I just did a quick eyeball over at PFR so it’s possible I missed a game or two, but by my count from 1991-2002, aka the Lost Decade, the Bengals were 15-5 when scoring 30+. In other words, over 12 seasons they only lost 5 games when they scored 30 or more. This year they have already lost 3, and there are still 7 games to go.
  15. Small slot guy, not a Higgins replacement. Project player, converted to wr from qb in college (Illinois). potential trickeration player. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Isaiah-Williams-WR-Illinois
  16. Sunday night football, no less. Another opportunity to shit the bed in front of a national audience.
  17. Also worth mentioning: the it’s all on Joe/Ja’marr strategy might work, if they had any help on the other side of the ball at all. Burrow vs Baltimore, 2024: 64/95, 820, 9/1 0-2
  18. Yup. I remember back in 1999 some reporter asked Mike how far the team could go, and he answered, "we'll go as far as Akili Smith will take us." 25 years later, the entire strategy and weekly game plan is "we'll go as far as Joe and Ja'Marr will take us." Nothing ever changes.
  19. Cincinnati: where good players go to have their careers wasted. Same as it ever was.
  20. Horrible horrible play calling. Stop going for ir early. Stop throwing bibs when you need two yards. Coaching 100% cost this game. Dumb dumb dumb team.
  21. Honestly throw was high. Multiple missed calls too. Just a shit end to a shit game. Fire Zac Taylor.
  22. Well there’s the TD
