Yeah, this is why the lead up to the draft is my favorite. There are really good players that will help our team and the Bengals haven't passed on them yet. I'm banking on Caleb Downs being there at #10 and the Bengals pass on him and then proceed to watch him go to the Dolphins and have an All-Pro career while we put all of our eggs in the Peter Woods basket only to watch him not make any impact because he can't beat out McKinley fucking Jackson. Please Bengals, please don't fuck this up.

I'm starting to see mocks with Styles going before Reese. I've made the comment many times that Styles is, at a minimum, Reese's equal. I would be overjoyed with Reese, Styles or Downs from that Buckeyes defense at #10.

His nickname with the team is "The Godfather" so that's appropriate. While he's not an instant starter and on the smaller side, I watched a lot of UC's games and he's noticeable. He's a Cincinnati kid and it's a good story. I'm rooting for him. Here's a short highlight reel without all the stupid ass music playing in the background. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUxcE3Cc7YU

No shit right? I do like the thought of Flacco getting in all of the camp stuff and really being able to work in with the offense as opposed to coming in from a trade and being expected to carry the team for a period of time. I want to see a trade to help the interior of the defensive line. There isn't an answer in the draft.

Mater of fact, Delane in the first and Haulcy in the 2nd, both from LSU would make me smile. That secondary was really stout with the both of them last year. God knows there are worse things in the world than adding two All-Americans to a weak secondary at positions of need.

Downs has been and continues to be my #1 as well. Are there others I like and be happy with? Sure. I could do that with almost any position being considered. Love Arvell Reece, but would be happy with Styles, Hill or Golday. Love Bain, but would be happy with Bailey or Mesidor. Love Delane, but would be happy with maybe 5-6 more CB's through the draft. LOVE Downs, but would be happy with Haulcy and maybe 3 more safeties through the draft. You guys get the point. My ONLY fear is that they simply go in a completely different direction when those guys are on the board. I absolutely HATE the DT class this year. I don't think there is even a single rookie starter among the group. Not Peter Woods (UGH) or even Kayden McDonald. They needed more than old ass Allen in free agency and came up short. If there is a trade to be made to help the interior of the D-line, I would be all for it. If I were betting, I would guess DT is going to be the weak point of the defense this year.

Regarding Delane, he did run his 40 in 4.38 seconds at LSU’s pro day today. Nice…

As much as I love Downs, I would be equally happy with AJ Haulcy in the 2nd round. If Styles is there, take him.

If the phone is ringing they should be willing to not only pick up, but to make a move. Not too often I can recall not wanting to take a top 10 talent, but the more I look at the players (even the popular ones) the more I think a trade down to get additional picks would be very smart. There are still many players I would love to see there at #10, but agree with Hoosier in that it should be a very real thought at this point.

Again, I would have zero issue with Delane. Love the kids play style for sure. I would hope they would do their homework on Young and his DUI in determining the issue. Hill was originally getting looks in the upper end of round two. The 3rd is a steal. I occasionally like to mess around on the mock draft sites and just take the top rated player. The only time I don't is if I've already taken the position, then I go down the board to the next. Here's how mine this morning worked out: 1. Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State 2. Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State 3. Keionte Scott, CB, Miami 4. Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia 6a. Keagan Trost, OT, Missouri 6b. Cole Payton, QB, North Dakota State 7a. Dan Villari, TE, Syracuse 7b. Jalon Catalon, S, Missouri Many names on that one that I really REALLY like, some (like Trost and Villari) that I wasn't really aware of, but Trost is really interesting in the later rounds. Payton is fun because he's a running QB as well and would offset Burrow's style should something happen again. I still think that contrast between Burrow's style and any running QB would change things up quite a bit if needed. Anyway, just another useless mock that killed time for me.

Well fuckin' fuck yeah, lets focus on getting Rehkow to the Pro Bowl. There is literally NOTHING more important to focus on than long bomb punts. Don't get me wrong, I love having an above average punter and wish him all the luck kicking the dogshit out of the football. However, unless he can make an impact playing on the defensive side of the ball, I don't really care about much more. This must be part of making sure every player gets a quick hit written about them. Can't wait for the story about how the Bengals are thinking about getting Tahj Brooks more chances so they can write something in his bio for the official site that isn't about his college stats. I mean he's on the cusp of actually reaching 50 yards rushing, totally demolishing last year's efforts, in 2026. C'mon Tahj, we believe in you !!!
