  1. Regardless of how the Bengals got here, the start of the offseason was what it was. They knew they had to do something to fix what was GLARINGLY a problem. The addition of Dexter makes me more excited about bringing in Mafe. Makes me more excited about Shemar having more opportunities. Makes me more excited about both the pass rush and run defense. An aspect I don't think gets mentioned is not only his leadership, but his attitude and his approach. His whole persona and approach are going to be infectious for the other players. What did Trey bring these past couple seasons? Fucking drama and a cloud hanging over the team. Dexter in the press conference.... "You can't lose that attitude of, choking somebody out and burying them." People have been asking for a bullying mentality and identity. Well here it is. I'm with COB, I'm actually excited about this defense and this season now.
  2. I'm doing mocks and looking to see who the various boards show remaining at #10 after the trade. Draft Network- All our targeted players were gone. Giants took Styles and traded down for Lemon. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: Keionte Scott, CB, Miami Anthony Hill, LB, Texas Dani Dennis-Sutton, DE, Penn St. Pro Football Network- Both Bain and Downs were still available at #10. Giants took Styles and Bain. I traded down to #52 and picked up another 4th. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU Keionte Scott, CB, Miami Jager Burton, OC, Kentucky Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame NFL Mock Draft Database- Downs and Bain both on the board. Giants took Styles and Delane. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State Trey Zuhn, OT, Texas A&M ESPN Analytics- All our targeted players were gone. Giants took Mauigoa and Tate. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana Nicholas Singleton, RB, Penn State Fan Speak- Styles and Love were both on the board. Giants took Mauigoa and Styles. There was a trade offer, but Hood was sitting there. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati Markel Bell, OT, Miami A to Z Sports- Downs was on the board. Giants took Tate and Ioane. I don't like division trades, but I moved from #41 to #53 and got a 3rd from Pitt. My picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th were: Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati Keionte Scott, CB, Miami Nicholas Singleton, RB, Penn State Trey Zuhn, OT, Texas A&M I was just curious and thought I'd share. God know there could have been other outcomes.
  3. Yeah, it's been mostly praise for the Bengals move regarding Lawrence and I do not disagree with most of those takes. The stuff I've seen is mostly like the Bengals let the Giants control the top of the draft, but I didn't take it as a slight, just an amusing take especially since the Giants have been in this position before and fucked it up entirely. That being said, I think they will have better luck this time around when considering the top 10-15 talent. However, the same thing was said about Thibodeaux and Neal. There is no sure thing when it comes to the draft. I like the analogy of it being a lottery ticket. The Giants traded Lawrence for another shot at the lottery. The Bengals got a proven commodity whose talent isn't going to be found in the draft. I loved his interview with Hoard by the way. Instant leader for a defense that seemingly had none. I liked how he mentioned the young linebackers and helping them as well.
  4. Funny, I did the same thing in trading back in the 2nd round to grab an extra pick. That wouldn’t surprise me in the least. Oh… they still need another CB. As much as I like Haulcy, I won’t be shocked to see them pass on safety altogether at this point and grab a CB.
  5. Maxx Crosby = two 1st round picks Dexter Lawrence = one 1st round pick Pretty good deal on the one year extension as well. Color me pleased.
  6. Everyone talking shit about how we gave up #10 and allowed the Giants to have two top 10 picks in the draft. just to show how nothing is guaranteed and how short memories are, the Giants have had two top 10 picks in the recent past and neither of them did shit. They had #5 they picked DE Kayvon Thibodeaux and OT Evan Neal. While both are still with the team, clearly there is nothing set I stone in having picks. Seeing as how the Bengals have sucked at drafting recently, I will smile and say thank you for the best Nose Tackle in the league. Bring on pick #41 !!!
  7. As I previously mentioned, I would have preferred they waited until they were on the clock and were able to see who was there. Then again, maybe the Giants didn’t want to wait. Maybe the Bengals really wanted him and were concerned another team would have swooped in. I don’t know really but won’t fault the team for making this move at this point. Yes, agree 100%, they can’t draft for shit and have made poor free agent decisions. We don’t have to look any further than Jessie Bates to see how they seemingly fuck up every decision along the way. We just added the best NT in the league and it’s not even close. I’m ok and will simply look forward to the 2nd round.
  8. Great look… https://x.com/SharpFootball/status/2041517645036433411?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^2041517645036433411|twgr^aa082676f758b0e9ee3efef02ff5debd7ca2a1ea|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cincyjungle.com%2Fcincinnati-bengals-news%2F189807%2Fdexter-lawrence-twitter-reactions-social-media-ny-giants
  9. Toss in old man Allen and that DT rotation is pretty fucking stout. Considering the young guys in that room, maybe there’s another move to be made since their time is likely to be lessened with this move.
  10. Yeah I don’t give a fuck. They finally acknowledged a weakness and didn’t just do patch work trying to solve it. They made a bold move and brought in arguably the best DT in the game. Dexter was ranked the 17th best player in the whole fucking league by the players last year.
  11. Think about it like this… It would have taken 2 firsts to get Crosby and the Cowboys gave up a 2nd and next year’s first for Williams. We got Dexter for a single pick. While it’s #10, it’s one pick and how many times have we said all the people we really want could be gone? I’m good. Let’s fucking go !!
  12. If Mafe is really what they think he is, they just completely remade the defense this offseason with Mafe, Lawrence and Cook.
  13. Yeah I think it’s the right move and happy to see them make a move of that nature knowing time is ticking on Burrow and company. Don’t like giving up #10 but I really love Dexter !!
  14. Bengals give up the #10 for Lawrence. Confirmed https://athlonsports.com/nfl/dexter-lawrence-trade-nfl-news-cincinnati-bengals-new-york-giants-2026-nfl-draft
  15. I saw that as well. Interesting how their board fell and their thoughts on players. No trades changes things greatly though and you could see what they were thinking and where. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to see it play out similar with a couple of trades to mix it up. Downs would obviously be a big win in my book.
  16. No worries Hoosier, there are plenty of Go Fuck Yourselves to go around. I really don’t care all that much to be honest. It’s probably my irritation with Mrs. ArmyBengal and he endless watching I seemingly couldn’t escape.
  17. I blame Hoosier for posting that article about the Bengals and the draft. I was in a great mood up until then. Since then I think I have dropped roughly 647 "F" bombs while at work. No worries, I will recover...
  18. Oh and the fucking astronauts my wife made me watch in their press conference? How the hell do you do something everyone thinks is so beyond amazing and then when you get the chance to say something profound about your experience, the best you can come up with is, "We are you and you are us". Yeah, go fuck yourselves too !!
