Well, in the theory of, “It only takes one team to panic”, Jacksonville’s starting LT Cam Robinson is facing a suspension for performance enhancing drugs. While not knowing how long it will be, this may be a door for a Jonah trade to take place. Oh yeah… HAPPY DRAFT DAY EVERYONE !!!
-
See, I’m open to a trade down as well. There is very little that will piss me off come tomorrow’s draft.
-
Most guys that are 6’5 and 325 pounds take longer than average to come back from an ACL. Considering he injured his ACL on Christmas Eve, color me skeptical of seeing him in the lineup before the midpoint. If he does, I would be very happy. I don’t have the issue some may with Collins. He’s just hurt.
-
If Scharping is in the mix for RT that only goes to show things are worse off than I originally thought. Agree Hoosier in that drafting OT easily would not surprise me. I’m just left to think they may be inclined to roll the dice with what they have. We will see.
-
Love the prospect of them being backups. However that’s all they are.
-
Logjam of mediocre talent at OT is what they have.
-
I would love a small trade up for Robinson. Maybe not the largest need but it’s not far and he’s an elite player. I’m good with chasing elite.

Hey Gap, so 2025 is our “lightning in a bottle year” for the next decade ??
-
I thought they were really exciting with the young talent they have and then they added Rodgers. Now I just hope they lose. Rodgers is insufferable.

I will never be rooting against the Jets more than I will this coming season.

Report: Bengals Plan to PayJoe This Offseason

Sweet. Love AJ !! -
Like the first 4 there.

I get you don’t want players gambling on NFL games and certainly not their own. However, the sheer stupidity of suspending a player for betting on some other non-NFL game just because they are in the facility is just ridiculous.
-
I like those first three picks but no pass rush guys at all ?? Pass…

Jonah's situation is still one I'm very curious about and will be watching closely during the draft. All it takes is one team to miss out on a prospect they were hoping to get and them getting antsy. I can very easily see a draft day trade happening in the first few rounds. Again, I'm not expecting much more than Jonah helping them swap picks with another team and the Bengals moving up in the order. I would be ecstatic with that trade to be honest. It's either that or they have a glut of mediocre talent trying to fill the RT spot. Truthfully, as the days go by, I'm leaning more and more to thinking they may not even address the o-line in the draft until the later rounds. Brown, Karras and Cappa are all studs. Having another year in the league and being in an NFL lifting program won't hurt Volson in the least. That RT spot is concerning though. I would be happy to see them draft a player capable at starting at RT, but don't think it happens. I'm not a fan of ANY of the current roster players thought to man that spot and still don't think Collins is back for much of the season.

Since we have transitioned to Chili in this thread and I don't want to make a stand alone thread, I read this from Peter King. No worries Hoosier, this one won't piss you off coming from him !! Not that I won't be paying attention to the Bengals pick anyway, but boy do I love our Vietnam Vets. I loved serving them while working at the VA and listening to all their stories. It was truly one of the things that was hard to leave a couple of years ago and I miss seeing those guys day in and day out. I would always hear that you learn from those who came before you and that was/is an absolute being a combat medic. I learned so much about what we now are capable of doing on the battlefield due to Vietnam Veterans that died over there. Love those guys !! -
I always liked McCarron. He should have won that playoff game until super stupid happened.
-
Rooting for him to be there and getting after it. Just not seeing it early. I will be very happy to see him make that happen !!

When looking at the one from Fornelli: Mazi Smith in the first round over Kancey, who is still on the board? Mazi Smith in the first round even? Yeah, I might wreck my TV over that one. My question I always like to ask again is, "Who else was on the board?" Well, in this case, the best RB prospect in many years and we take a pass despite our concerns there. Bijan Robinson would make me stop in my tracks to consider what the hell we are doing if he was still on the board. When looking at the next one (The 7 rounder) from Edwards: The Bengals take my boy Kancey out of Pittsburgh. YES !! Great when considering who else was on the board. Bergeron in the 2nd isn't bad, but I would have rather had TE Musgrave, RB Charbonnet, CB Ricks at that point. Since we missed on the top end TE's, they throw TE Allen from Clemson at us in the 3rd, despite WR A.T. Perry still being there. Then OT Steen and RB Achane as well. A backup QB in the 4th huh? FUCK NO !! Especially not with DE Harrison still on the board. OT Freeland and CB Valentine are still there as well. I don't mind the CB in the 5th going with Jones, but would have waited for the QB spot and taken Thompson-Robinson here. Stupid late round WR pick in the 6th. Finally addressing the DE spot in the 7th. BY THE WAY... I think he totally forgot DE Andre Carter from Army Working in retrospect from Edwards' mock, I would have: 1. DT Kancey, Pittsburgh 2. TE Musgrave, Oregon State 3. DE Carter, Army 4. OT Freeland, BYU 5. QB Thompson-Robinson, UCLA 6. CB Brown, Ohio State 7. WR Bell, Michigan

Williams and Berryhill getting suspended for betting on NON-NFL GAMES, simply because they were in an NFL facility is absolute horseshit. I agree with you too Hoosier in that the NFL and owners are getting balls deep and running a train on gambling, but will suspend anyone who gambles for 6 games to a year. I get the concerns with having NFL players betting on NFL games, but the NFL wasn't concerned with that when there was money to be made. Why can't a player sitting in an NFL facility place a bet on a baseball game? Am I missing something there?
-
You and me both.
-
I like Banks, Musgrave and Charbonnet. Not a fan of Mauch or most of the others. I think people pencil Mauch to us simply because of Volson. Lazy…
-
I remember when the Bengals brought in Vonn Bell to the team and I was like, "That dude was still out there?" because it was a little later in the game. With that thought in mind, I wonder if there isn't another player sitting out there the Bengals could bring in unexpectedly. There are certainly enough guys still available at this point.

Yeah I like the smaller local joints better than the big boys as well, but those aren’t close. -
Malik Wright had it up as well with another code: Wrightreport That one didn’t work for me and that’s when I found the Lapham one.
