What ?!?! Irv Smith Jr. got cut by the Chiefs ?? Say it ain’t so… Garbage
-
Speaking of the trend of former Bengal o-linemen getting the axe. La’el Collins is back on the street. Glass eater huh Pollack ?!?!
-
If you don’t want to watch Marshall, then just watch Burrow. https://youtu.be/VQsx3tGuvV0?si=JDPoLWEoHvX8jNSH Try to sneak Hudson onto the taxi squad and carry 7 WR’s. Not like they don’t have enough TE’s…
-
No real surprises and not much else out there super intriguing either. Maybe a depth guy but wouldn’t surprise me to see no action either.
-
Oh I'm WELL aware. For as much as I have spoken about him, you knew when it hit, I was thinking about it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure who he would replace on this roster. While I think teaming him back up with Burrow and Chase would have a profound effect on him, I don't think it's in the cards.
-
Another dud. Can't believe he's still getting chances.
-
Titans released Caleb Farley today. Dude has been so broken, I totally forgot about him. He was suppose to be the next big thing. Instead he's just another 1st round bust. Sucks for him.
-
Just a consideration I thought I would share when it comes to players being released... If the player doesn't have 4 seasons under their belt and get released, they have to go through the waiver process. Currently, the Bengals are sitting at #18 on the waiver wire, so if they like a younger player, they will probably have to make a trade to get him. If the player has more than 4 seasons under their belt, they go straight to free agency and can sign with any team they like.

Vikings giving permission to DT/NT Jaquelin Roy for a trade. He was a 5th round pick last year out of LSU they moved up to draft. I don't have much info on him, outside of draft profiles. However, it was a name and position that would at least make me look closer.
-
I like him, but will continue clamoring to have the position addressed in the future. It's just my thing, even if completely off base. LOL...
-
Njongmeta has been a beast through the preseason. While I won't suggest that continues against other team's first string offense, he's earned that opportunity. At a position I have great concerns about their depth nonetheless. Nice... Good luck to him !!
-
Interesting for sure. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out for the league and Bengals.
-
Nope, can't even be worried about someone I didn't realize was on the team. Wish him the best though. NT - Yes Scharping - Not really. Another former Bengals o-lineman that doesn't latch on with another team. That's a trend for us. While not begging the Bengals to bring Perrine back, he is an amazing blocking back that has the ability to catch out of the backfield. I think that would provide more valuable than what we have with Williams, but it's whatever at this point.
-
Couldn’t agree more Hoosier. If they are considering him, might as well take your chances on no one trading for him and then simply releasing him. He’s certainly not playing in Denver this year.
-
Bunch of cuts happening today but nothing of interest. For those wanting… Perrine will be released if they don’t find a trade partner.
-
See ya Justin Ballsak. I mean it's the first time I've heard your name, but best of luck !!

I gave Pittman's stats as a comparison since he signed a new deal during the offseason and came in the same class as JJ and Lamb.

Interesting comparisons between Lamb and Chase. Lamb has a season longer in the league than Chase does and Dallas also has used him as a returner as well. However, Chase has 3 more playoff games and his stats eclipse Lamb's in the postseason.

I'm not expecting any "surprise" cuts from the Bengals at this point. When looking at some of the names on the roster, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out who is staying and who is going. I think the more interesting question will be, who is starting where or what position will they be backing up? The secondary and o-line seem to be less settled than say, WR or RB.
-
Yeah, can see that being the case as well. I like Burton a lot and, as I mentioned already, still think he could make an impact this year. Just hope there's no fire, despite the smoke.
-
Just read where Al Michaels had implied that Burton had fell asleep in meetings. Not sure where he's getting that from, but yeah, if true, Burton has a long way to go to earn trust. HOUSH !!! Come get your boy !!!
-
I think it was Burrow that said Burton needs to get in his playbook more. Maybe that's what they are talking about. Uses athletic ability to make things happen more than his head. Hopefully Houshmandzadeh stays in Burton's head more and keeps him focused during the season. Still think he gets his opportunities, but didn't really give much thought initially to what Burrow said. If Burrow doesn't trust him to be where he's suppose to be, it might not matter how talented he is athletically. Who knows? Maybe they are simply trying to motivate him more and know this is what he needs. Any way around... this is going to be a fun season to watch Burrow pass the ball with all these receiving options.

Stupid autocorrect. Not sure why it felt inclined to change Cuts to Cute, but I made the fix…

I’ve been watching cuts taking place and there hasn’t been anything worth noting yet. Tuesday afternoon is lurking though. Will be watching what happens.
