Duke dropped in on McAfee and Hawk for an interesting and laid back interview. I appreciate this show sometimes, because it reduces the prevalence of ordinary BS mediaspeak.
I think Stanley Morgan definitely sticks for his Darrin Simmons cred. If Iosivas makes the team and they keep seven, I think the odd-man out almost has to be Trent Taylor (whose primary role is filled by Charlie Jones).
It's theirs to take. They just have to be up to it. Can't drop dumb regular season games to bullshit teams and end up playing on the road in the AFCCG. They can still win in that situation, but if they give themselves the best road then I think they'll handle business.
Google says Chase Brown is 6'2".
The NFL Network broadcast says Chase Brown is 5'9".
The Illnois profile says Chase Brown is 5'11".
The ESPN profile says Chase Brown is 5'11".
247Sports says Chase Brown is 5'10".
That's funny. To be clear I don't actually care how tall he is. He's a running back.
Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Irwin, Jones, Taylor, Morgan? Seven is a lot, but it makes sense. Taylor may be redundant, so if they want six, then Taylor/Jones is the battle.
Love the attitude. His eventual goal is certainly to start, but he understands that he has seasoned veterans in front of him that can make him stronger.
If someone asked me which defensive starter makes me most uncomfortable, it would have been one of the safeties (probably Scott), so adding this depth and insurance is very easy to justify.
