For the first time in a long time, I don't have my heart set on any one player or one position. I just don't want them to reach.

Which means, if Dez Bryant is gone, I sure as hades hope not to hear a WR headed the Bengals at #21. Because any other such player there would be a reach.

I would also prefer not to hear Gresham in the first, but won't be on here screaming that they suck if they do.

In fact, I will keep the "they suck" knee-jerk reactions out of it again. I hope a few nameless souls around here (you know who you are) join me in trying that out as the next three days unfold...

Got up early this morning and got my run in ahead of time. Now I can make a quick trip to the gym after work and be home in plenty of time to get my computer back up since it took a sh*t again last night. I'll tell you what though, I'm missing this being on Saturday morning, because there would already be a cooler full of ice cold beverages and meat marinating just waiting to be thrown on the grill. It would be a full day of BBQ and beers only to get up the next morning and do it again.

Look on the bright side. We have all Friday night and Saturday starting at 10am. Sunday can be used as recovery time. I will watch all 7 rounds, no doubt. It would be better if it didn't start on a Thursday, though. Fri-Sun would be a better option for many.

I'll ask you the same question I keep asking Hoosier. Why ignore the best defensive class in decades in favor of a 1st round wideout when both starting WR roles are filled?

Pouncey's probably the least risky pick among players likely to be available to the Bengals. and, I think that he's a great fit.

Apparently, so do most Bengal fans. Because while I love the idea, and have spoken about it at length, I can think of few options that would anger as many of the fine citizens of Bengala as the selection of Pouncey.

The board might not meltdown, but I'm guessing we'd all be swamped under a tidal wave of posts, all written by frustrated fans claiming they liked somebody better.

FWIW, the mock draft in my morning paper today had Pouncey off the board at #11, the very highest I've seen him projected in any mock.

It's funny, but the team's recent drafts have completely pacified me. While, previously, they would make head-scratching moves that would then turn out to be just that, for the last several drafts we've discovered that even if they take someone we are less familiar with (Peko, Bernard Scott, etc.), they're doing a good job. And so I sit back, for the first time perhaps, with a zen state of mind.

Yep, I keep seeing him that high as well. I'm also completely on board with the pick. Pouncey vs Dez Bryant will be tricky, though, and put me in a classic head vs. heart dilemma. If Earl Thomas is around, though, I'll feel none.

I just can't get behind idea of breaking up a already proven elite tandem of corners...Resign Jjoe now before season ends and it costs you alot more money that will give you atleast 3 more years with him & hall(Though I'd prefer both get long term deals)Who else is going to deserve a extension over next 2 years besides cedben... ya it's going to cost alot money and well Mikey has paid his own in the past I just can't see him paying two top 10 corners :/

I think if Marvin is around, whatever he says, Mikey will do. I'd like to lock both of them up long-term, and obviously the sooner you do the the cheaper it will be, but if i could only keep 1 it's Hall. If Mikey is smart (big if) he'd extend them now, because once they make the Pro Bowl (at least 1 of them should this year) their price will skyrocket.

I'd probably keep Hall to because of Durability but reason why I'd give Jjoe deal first is his contract expires first and Hall has 2 years + could franchise him for a 3rd...
