This could actually be worth exploring and discussing to the point of ......... oh I don't know .... 1852 words perhaps ???????????? Actually, what would Carson be worth on the market right now? Who would be take in exchange? Peyton Manning? Nope, not having as good a year. Certainly not Rottenberger, despite the higher bogus passer rating. In fact, would you take ANY player, or even combination of players in the NFL, in exchange for Palmer? If not, I think that says a lot for what a treasure we have right now. And think of the issues that have improved so far this year:penaltiesthird down/red zone conversionsand even the rushing defense has been better the past two games (can't count GB but the Ravens are usually able to run the ball a little bit). Palmer's only bad game was against the Steelers and oddly they by no means had the best passing defense he's seen (tie between Jacksonville and Baltimore for that). Indy's secondary doesn't compare, it's simply their defense line that gets the job done. So we'll have to see on Nov 20 Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Boy, when I first seen the title I was ready to close the topic and pull a Jay and Silent Bob"Did U say Carson Palmer was a @#$%*&&mother&*#@ on Movie Poop Shoot.com?""Uh, Yeah"" " Quote

HairOnFire Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Trade Palmer? That's not a bad idea when you think about it. After all it's sort of unfair to Kitna that he gets so little snaps after proving his worth, and a Palmer trade would be dealing from a team strength. And if the Bengals played their cards correctly they might get a 2nd round pick they could use to correct a team weakness like strong safety or TE. That said there must be salary cap concerns I haven't considered yet. Not that I'm qualified to comment on those things since I'm a dedicated ass hat. So maybe respected capologists like Jet or Joisey could hold our hands on this one and tell us if it's a stupid idea or not. Quote

Stripes Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Palmer for Jason Romano (hey, if Dan O'Brien has a man crush on him, why not Marvin Lewis) Doesn't he always look like a twig at the plate? Give Palmer a bat and I bet he plays just as well... Quote
