Ok, #2 coming at you this Saturday and suppose we will see much of the same as far as starters getting some snaps.
Hopefully we see some better execution from the 1's, but as always, they tend to keep things simple in the preseason.
Just like Burrow under center.  Throw it in, see what you get and whatever.  Clearly winning is not the priority.
I'm ok with that in the preseason.

Getting to see the rookies and other guys compete is the biggest reason I watch the preseason games.
They had some good showings last week and I want to see if they can be consistent this week.

Of course, the "no injuries" disclaimer...

The most interesting thing about the Bears right now is the stadium intrigue.  Like Cleveland’s owner, Bears ownership wants a suburban palace around which they can develop a restaurant/hotel/condo/mixed use sprawl and seriously cash in.  They also then control and profit from game day parking.  There are some similarities between our ownerships. It’s interesting to see how different the organizations are right now, ie what the priorities are, how the power is wielded and delegated (or not delegated).

I look at what Buffalo just did with their new stadium, which is getting tons of hate, and I hear people asking why they didn't build something like SoFi stadium in LA.  To start SoFi cost like 5 and a half billion and the Bills new stadium was less than half that cost the last time I checked.  Small market teams are always going to struggle with that.  When that time comes for a new Bengals stadium, I suspect we will get something along the lines of what the Bills just did.

I went to the Bills old Highmark Stadium and had a blast, minus the shitty fans, and it snowed like crazy.  Good time watching a game in those conditions.
Glad they didn't dome the new stadium, but thinking we should the next time around.

Yeah the potential move to hammond is a big deal up here in northwest Indiana. I can’t wait to pay more for my takeout pizza and Mickey D’s value meal to fund a new sports palace for a Chicago billionaire.

I always wondered who owned those parking lots where the Bills mafia staged their performances.  Specifically, if the Bills owned them.  If they do own them, the Bills are clearly on notice that their business invitees like to get intoxicated and jump off the roof of a busted RV onto a flimsy table that fails, to any appreciable degree, to arrest their fall onto pavement.  Because when fat drunk guy gets paralyzed, some TV personal injury lawyer will have the case of a lifetime fall in his lap.

There was literally nothing to dislike about the football experience in Buffalo. Great football town, massive tailgating, love the outdoor aspect to the game and it just “feels” like football when you are there. It had its own energy about it. Really cool vibe for sure.

But those fans… good God. I use to feel a certain kinship to Buffalo fans being a small market team like the Bengals and the struggles our teams have faced. Not any more. Not the Bills Mafia, none of them. On the way to the game, at the stadium, walking out after the game, just miserable shitty people. Not shitty fans, PEOPLE. I wish them nothing but failure.

Fuck you Buffalo, your wings suck.

I think he already said they won't be playing in the last preseason game either, so I guess it will be a while before we see them taking game snaps.
As much as I enjoy watching the 2nd and 3rd stringers, I enjoy watching the starters get a series or two.

What I wish they would do more is let some of the guys they feel that could compete for a starting role, get preseason snaps with the 1's.
That all being said, it's whatever.  Can't say as I agree with not getting the starters some snaps when they have a habit of starting slow.

Best quote from Goldsmith:

“The Bengals’ pass rush was by far the most impactful position group on the field on Thursday, and Dexter Lawrence was the best player on the field.”

Psyched for this game tonight.  Hopefully we see Burrow and starting receivers for a couple series.

I thought Zack said they were not, that no starters were playing? Not sure
