ArmyBengal Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 The media and talking heads would love to see Burrow force his way out of town. It would be a massive story involving trade demands of a high profile player, contract reworking, trade compensation, the works. How it would impact both teams involved, betting implications (which we know the NFL frowns upon) and more. If the media could force something to take place in the offseason, I believe this would be it. For as much as the talking heads didn't want Burrow in Cincinnati to begin with, this would be huge for them. Think Joe Burrow in New York City for one minute and tell me that wouldn't be a massive story for many reasons. Well fuck the media and fuck you New York. Ok, maybe that's a little dramatic, but I talked myself into something there. 1 Quote
COB Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 I don’t think Burrow believe he CAN force his way out of town. He’s smart, he understands the history of this busted down general store masquerading as an nfl franchise. He’s been making some veiled, sort of cryptic remarks in interviews. In my opinion, and I’ve discussed this extensively with a ten year old cat who sleeps 21 hours a day, Burrow is putting pressure on the organization to change. Ie: he was asked, do you think about playing for another organization, he came back with “you think about a lot of things.” Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 He's not wrong, you do think about a lot of things. Recently I was trying to determine if you drop soap on the floor, does the soap get dirty or does the floor get cleaned? It's shit like that which keeps me up at night. Quote
AMPHAR Posted December 19, 2025 Report Posted December 19, 2025 If Bengals aren't firing Zac. Get the fear they are going to Marvin Lewis this for the slim window of the Burrow era. They should at least considered real competition at the QB spot. At worse they need a better back up. The QB group as a whole is rated slightly better than Rookie Andy Dalton. It would be worse if not for Joe Flacco that produced the biggest games this season on the fly. Those metrics aren't 100% proof of anything regarding Joe but it does suggest there can be life after him. The ole Brady/Garoppolo card should be played here, IMO, if they aren't changing head coaches. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 19, 2025 Report Posted December 19, 2025 I'm just resigned to figuring nothing meaningful happens. Whatever does will be small and incremental. Don't fix what ain't broke so they say. By broke, I mean whatever makes the Brown family money. Clearly not the on field product outcomes. I do not care what anyone presents to challenge that thought, I do not believe they care about winning. More along the lines of, if it happens it happens. Quote
COB Posted December 19, 2025 Report Posted December 19, 2025 They care about running a successful and profitable business. Revenue sharing basically guarantees their success. Quote
glasgowbengal Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 If the utterly useless fucks in charge don’t put a passable D on the field next year he’ll instruct his agent to start shit stirring Quote
glasgowbengal Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Tweet from Dehner Jr: Joe Burrow's final phrase uttered into a microphone this year, was his response to being asked about how critical this offseason/2026 would be for the organization. "As big as it gets." And we're off. The stage is set. Quote

Just stay out of prison and dropping the soap alone in your home shower will be the least of your concerns! Quote
