Obviously Stewart's holdout has grabbed the spotlight, but it might be worth noting that Knight isn't signed either, like most of the rest of this year's second-round picks.

Los Angeles Chargers second-round rookie wide receiver Tre Harris is a training camp holdout and could well be the first in an unprecedented number.

Harris did not report on Saturday -- the deadline for Bolts rookies -- NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

The Chargers are the first team to open training camp, with veterans set for a Wednesday reporting date. However, L.A. is hardly the only team dealing with a second-round conundrum.

Thirty of 32 second-round picks have yet to sign their rookie contracts because of a disagreement over guaranteed money, Rapoport reported.

No. 33 overall pick Carson Schwesinger of the Cleveland Browns -- the top pick of the second round -- has signed and so too has No. 34 pick Jayden Higgins of the Houston Texans.

Both Schwesinger and Higgins signed fully guaranteed deals, which NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero noted on May 9 -- when Schwesinger's contract was announced by Cleveland -- could have a ripple effect. More than two months later, no other second-round selection has agreed to terms, so it's had a massive effect.

I think a Knight holdout would be worse than a Stewart holdout at this point. Knight got raves in offseason works earlier this year and he is already pretty much locked in as the starter opposite Wilson. Meanwhile, Stewart was looking like much more of a rotational piece in the d-line, at least to begin with. Hopefully some other team can come up with a creative solution to the issue. Gawd knows it won't be the Bengals.

I'm not worried about Knight and fully expected this when fully guaranteed contracts started coming for the 2nd round.
You know the Bengals front office wasn't prepared for that wrinkle.

Stewart?  Yeah, there is no reason to think he's going to start come week one at this point.
The Bengals needed to try to get a better idea about that BEFORE camp started and shit the bed on that.
Now they are left with a player with many unknowns, joining a team with a new DC, and have no clue what to expect.

Not only that, when getting a better look at the waiver they wanted him to sign, this is just beyond stupid.
I went from totally blaming the Bengals to Stewart sharing in that and now back to it being on the Bengals.
I went from thinking Stewart got bad advice to thinking he has someone really smart in his corner.

Silly ass Bengals.

The last thing this team can afford is for its top two picks to both miss time.
