HoosierCat Posted Sunday at 10:15 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 10:15 PM This eagles rams game is seriously old school Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Bengals hire Scott Peters as the O-line coach and he’s bringing his assistant O-line coach from New England with him, Michael McCarthy. I don’t know much about him honestly. He was the assistant O-line coach in Cleveland before moving on to New England. Will be looking him up more. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted 10 hours ago Author Report Posted 10 hours ago Jim McNally and Big Willie both gave the Peters hire a thumbs-up. That’s about as good an endorsement as you can ask for. Quote
TJJackson Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago well, Big Willy did also endorse Carman..........so.......... (keep in mind I love Big Willy personally, great guy, Bengals legend on a really bad team) so that all said.....he worked under the OL coach for Cleveland when Clevelands OL was elite.....so I love this hire Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Thought I read where he’s a Bill Callahan protege. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago In all honesty, none of that really means that much to me. The o-line being ready week 1, resulting in a win will see me calling that a great hire. Outside of that, it’s all talk. Standing by…. Quote
glasgowbengal Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Obviously trying to tap into the Callahan Snr secret sauce. No harm in that 1 Quote

I think this is the most important coaching hire of the offseason. Too much money and too many high draft picks have been invested in our line to have it perform as it has. DC…good luck, you get Trey and a bucket of warm spit. My expectations there are low. But we absolutely must get someone in here who can get all the oline talent to work, because otherwise Joe is going to get killed. So far I’ve heard nothing but good things about Peters so hopefully he’s that guy. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago I think that’s exactly why many coaches should be interested in being the DC here. Expectations are low, but with a QB like Burrow and the power of the offense, getting the defense to middle of the road will be considered a massive success. That would probably be enough to see the team right back in contention after missing out the last two years. 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Some nice praise for the new OL coach from McNally. Hope it works. Its critical to get some players or any player for that matter to perform in the top tier of OL. The 3 sack game has just become the norm for the Bengals since the departure of Alexander. Quote
Stripes Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I cannot pretend to have an opinion about New OL Coach. Do good. Be good. Protect the Prince. Quote
glasgowbengal Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Did we keep the receipt for Al Golden? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 25 minutes ago Report Posted 25 minutes ago I fully expected Ohio State to win tonight, so I don’t think that changes anything. Quote
