Press Release:

We are watching this Browns/Dolphins game and we want it understood that we have nothing to do with this.  We are in no way involved.

Among all the truly stupid chapters authored by truck stop heir Jimmy Haslam, this really, truly, is the greatest.  It’s so monumentally moronic.  Stranger than fiction.

Bengals in the 90's

also I dont think Haslam had anything to do with the Cheesecake Factory incident :-)   Unless that was one of his cashiers rendering the, uhm, services

You lose :-)

Nope.

In the 12 seasons from 1991 to 2002, the Bengals won 55 games.

In the 12 seasons from 2008 to 2019, the Browns won 51.

Even Mike Brown can’t out-Brown the Browns.

I was hoping we could take care of both the Colts and Dolphins today to lessen needs next week.
Such is life.  It just means I have to pay more attention next week.

Sooooooo...
Go Chiefs
Go Jets
Go Bengals

I'm now wondering how the schedulers are going to move things around to make this more interesting?

-The AFC North is still up for grabs between the Steelers and Ravens, although the Ravens would have to lose to the Browns.
-The Bengals still have a shot at the playoffs with some help, playing the Steelers (see above).
-The Jets are out, but can play spoiler to a division rival.

There's almost no chance that the Chiefs will beat the Broncos

Chiefs are resting their starters and the Broncos would love to get a rare win against KC

I think theres a good chance the Bengals beat the Steelers since they cant lose when they need to lose

Miami loss is a maybe.....but they will be playing for their playoff lives against the godforsaken Jets

I think it is more probable that COB will get an italian sub with potato cakes at the Arby's in Kent next weekend than the playoff scenario lining up for the Bengals

I'm not saying I think this is all going to work in the Bengals favor, but it is at least entertaining.
4 weeks ago, "entertaining" was last thing I thought I would be saying heading into the last game.

Couple that with the CFP playoffs in the middle of the week and I'm pretty high on football at the moment.

Just imagine

Just imagine

where we'd be if we could have won ONE of the first 2 games

JUST

ONE

They would hold the tie breaker over the Broncos for the 7th seed and still needing to win against the Steelers.
So, the best they could still hope for is the 7th seed and a trip to Buffalo.

Now 2 more games and they are still in the AFC North mix and clinched a wild card.

Odds are not in the Bengals' favor, but they're also not some impossible never-happening pipe dream. Three things need to happen, and none of them are that unreasonable. Carson Wentz can beat the Broncos.

The point being is we have to be ready for those first two games

actually ready, not like just show up and whatever

Agree wholeheartedly.  They screwed themselves over yet again with the slow start to the season.
It's part of the reason why Zac should be on the hotseat.  His team is never ready to start the season.

NEVER...

its the combination of the three that make it highly unlikely.

even 2 of the three is fairly unlikely

I concur with the above.

I don't think it's unreasonable.
Chiefs/Broncos is still a division game and regardless of who's in for the Chiefs, they won't want to lose to the Donks.
Honestly, I think the Jets beating the Dolphins is less probable.  Will Rodgers or Taylor start that game?
Taylor might be the better option at this point.

Well, if I’m the nfl schedule guy, I want a game with playoff implications in the SNF slot and the Bengals @ Steelers game is the only game has that potential. So I’ll put my chip on it being the regular season finale.

Yeah so many things to consider.

I like the thought of that but then again if the Broncos beat the Jets earlier, then that game has little meaning.

I think the only competitor is Vikings/Lions, which will determine the no. 1 seed in the NFC. In that sense it s a sure thing but both teams will be in the postseason regardless. We’ll see.
