We’re getting the browns / dolphins game here in central Ohio.  So far Cleveland looks like they are playing at about 65% effort.

It is my presumption that they will draft a k and let he and the former Money Mac (and maybe also a UDCFA too) duel it out for 2025

so the Bengals need 3 things to happen to make the playoffs in addition to winning out, and one of those things happened today

Colts need to tie or lose - this happened today

the other two being

Miami needs a tie or loss - they are playing Cleveland right now, and are up by 3 early

Broncos need to lose to KC.   Chiefs has already stated they will rest their starters, and the Broncos would LOVE to get a win on KC, so this one is not likely to fall to us

so

I still say play to lose for the best possible draft spot

There’s very little to gain in draft spots at this point. I’d rather enjoy what little excitement we’ve had this season even if we drop another spot. I’m not sold they will draft the right player anyway.

I think Mac has had injury concerns this year and just signed an extension. Can’t see them moving on only to have to use another draft pick they can’t really afford to use on a kicker. Just my take.
