So I have been pulling for you in your division and conference. You lost two games to Baltimore that you shouldn't have. But I believe the NFL is pimping Lamar against Mahomes. Ravens probably will not win the division over the Steelers unless they sweep them. I cannot see Lamar doing a Flacco 2012. I do know Burrow can because he's done it already. It sucks Burrow will have to win from the wild card but he's the Big Ben of the trifecta and Big Ben did it. No other QB can. Lamar will be on the decline in about four years when his legs quit. Josh soon after because of his athleticism but he's also smarter than Jackson and has been a volumous passer. Burrow can sweep the Steelers but he needs to get in the playoffs because he will do damage.

I should be more clear. If Bengals beat Chargers, who have less weapons, then after their bye they host the Steelers, play Cowboys, Titans, Browns in Cincinnati on TNF, and Denver. This is an almost guaranteed 5-0. That last game in Pittsburgh gives Bengals 11-6 with a win and the second wild card. Steelers, should they beat Commanders, will likely only lose to you, at Baltimore, and maybe KC but it's a short rest and uniquely scheduled game. So losing to you week 18 could still keep them in the division lead if they beat KC.

Ravens lose to Steelers, and I think they lose to Chargers or Eagles, but then they may win out, including winning in Houston. If they go 12-5 and you sweep Steelers they win division. If you have a playoff spot locked up week 18 you would want the Steelers to win the division over Baltimore. That way, Baltimore does not get the number two seed. KC could probably lose the last three games and still have the 1 seed so playing the Steelers in the wild card round is your best bet. Colts and Broncos play week 15 and one will knock the other out. Jets won't make it to 10 wins and neither will the Chargers. At 10-7 I think you'll be in.

I appreciate the takes. The season isn’t “over”, but it feels that way. We’ll see what they do. I agree that finding a way to sneak Joe into the postseason could still produce a run. They’re just in a huge hole.

I think this Bengals team resembles the Brees Saints of the mid 2010s.

Have we ever seen such shit?

I mean from an offensive standpoint.
Of course I’m excluding all of the 90’s.

No need. I just did a quick eyeball over at PFR so it’s possible I missed a game or two, but by my count from 1991-2002, aka the Lost Decade, the Bengals were 15-5 when scoring 30+. In other words, over 12 seasons they only lost 5 games when they scored 30 or more. This year they have already lost 3, and there are still 7 games to go.

This team has never plays team football, when the defense plays ok and holds team the offense can’t score, the offense puts on a clinic and scores over 30 points the defense allows the other offense to score 40, it’s so freaking furious to me.

Not to mention if they would just beat the teams they should have in the beginning of the year they would be better off, but they can’t even do that.

What a freaking waste of awesome talent on offense, freaking waste!
