Week 11: Bengals @ Chargers

Recommended Posts

Wow, I went to bed when I said I was turning off this shit, only to find they made a furious charge back into the game.
Then I heard those same words uttered when learning it wasn't enough....  "They have to find a way to finish"

Zac Taylor... your time is up.  Please pack up your office, grab your coordinators (don't forget Pollack) and go away.
This season has finally come to an end.  There is no "All we have to do is go on a run" anymore.
That run needed to start last night and yet again, the offense (despite it's own concerns) put up 27 points and lost.

I don't care what the players are doing, the coaches need to be held accountable for this shit show of a team.
The players are frustrated, yelling at each other on the sidelines and the coaches are seemingly clueless as what to do next.

The only thing worse than knowing no one is getting fired is knowing that if they did, another clown show will get out of the car.
I'm sick of hearing the players aren't that good as well.  The coaches played a DIRECT part in those players coming to the team.
It's not like shit show, half ass players just showed up and decided to put on a uniform.
Someone scouted them, drafted them, brought them in and signed them as a free agent and trained them what to do.

***HINT***  That "someone" wasn't the fucking girl on the sideline squeezing Gatorade into the players mouths.

Stop the talk of playoffs right now.  Just stop.

Oh yeah, I gave Lou another shot at believing what he could get this defense to do and what do you know, he failed again.
Please just get the fuck out of here.  I have no sympathy for him.  NONE.
FUCK YOU LOU AND ZAC TOO.

That sounds like a t-shirt slogan as we head into the 2025 draft.  Writing that down...

Preach on, brother. No lies detected. The whole organization is broken right now. Re Ja'Marr, every time the went to him on the bench last night you could see the frustration. He clearly could not wait to get out of there. If I'm him I'm thinking that maybe not getting a deal done last spring was a blessing in disguise. I know he and Joe are two peas in a pod but he has to be wondering if this shitshow is worth any more of his time.

And to my eye it looks like they're destroying Burrow too. He's too much of a competitor to quit, but he clearly knows he's getting no help from the FO and the coaching staff has no clue.

One thing in particular- the rule requiring teams to put all guaranteed money in escrow when they sign a contract.

This specific rule, along with the rise of guaranteed money, is the one thing that will make Mike Brown’s method unworkable in the future.  The NFL is creeping towards baseball, and we’re the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Sell the team.

I never really participate in the highest-level/owner-level discourse, because three years ago I saw this team come within a phantom defensive holding flag of a Lombardi Trophy. I know they're capable of it.

They just cannot be missing on so many draft picks if their methods are going to work. That means two things to me at the organizational level: stop allowing Duke Tobin to be an invulnerable member of the Brown family and move on and/or hire more than three scouts FFS.

That ignores the coaching deficiencies. Those are a problem too.

Pretty much COB.  Sadly, pretty much.

The new owner has pretty much been running things the last few years so I don’t see that being a solution whatsoever!

Unless she is just biding time until he passes on so she doesn’t ‘hurt his feelings’ by using her grandpa’s approach and football mind!?
