TJJackson
Good riddance indeed a dollar and whatever change I have in my pocket right now on he is picked up by another club within the next 2 weeks (the oogie effect)
TJJackson
I am surprised Alan George was cut early. He's had a good preseason. I'd love to see him back on the PS.

ArmyBengal
Jackson Carmen… Due to changes with players being able to cash in when they outperform their rookie deal, the union and the NFL also now allow teams to recoup funds from those that underperform. Please see the transaction where we have withdrawn $5 million from your bank account. Thank you for understanding and as a parting gift, please see the included blow up doll resembling a 15 year old girl. Buh Bye…
ArmyBengal
DT Mike Purcell wouldn’t bother me for D-Line depth.
COB
Jackson Carman, man what a bust. He just couldn’t get it going here.
COB
Carman over here cleaning out my gutters: 1. I had to help him carry his ladder from his truck. 2. I had to show him how to properly use his ladder. 3. He didn’t bring any trash bags so I had to give him a couple so he would have someplace to put all the gutter detritus. 4. He took a nap in my yard.
COB
Perine seems to be a probable cut in Denver. I hope we get him. Once you account for injuries, etc, our 4th rb could see the field a lot in the playoffs. I trust Perine and he was a good pass blocker when he was here. Stripes
I'm not sure what Perine is anymore at 28 years old, but I certainly don't oppose the idea. It might mean they don't keep all the tight ends though.
Stripes
Pretty good, objective breakdown from a neutral observer (it's nearly two hours long, so treat it like a podcast). I don't agree with everything (e.g., I think he's a bit too negative about Zac Taylor), but I appreciate his thoroughness.
ArmyBengal
Yeah, I don't think any of the TE's are in a position to be put on IR to start the year either, but I could be wrong. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we only carried 3 TE's last year. That being said, we have about 5 we could keep, but that's not happening either. Personally I think they keep 4 and try to sneak Tanner Hudson onto the practice squad. I would not risk either rookie they drafted in Erick All or Tanner McLachlan in that move as I think they would get poached.
ArmyBengal
I’ve been watching cuts taking place and there hasn’t been anything worth noting yet. Tuesday afternoon is lurking though. Will be watching what happens.
TJJackson
cute?
TJJackson
On the number of TEs and RBs kept n the 53: I had heard, and this kinda makes sense, that they are considering Sample (Crazylegs, not the injured DL) as a hybrid FB/TE After all, he is a good blocker.....thats his thing so I kinda sorta see him counting as half a rb and half a te, roster-wise
TJJackson
I like Hudson because he is a proven commodity, despite his age McLachlan is cheaper and younger, but also entirely unproven. To me that says PS. The one I dont want to risk is All, who is said to have been a top 50-60 guy before injuries. Lemme see what he can do. I am actually disappointed that he wasnt more featured in the preseason games

TJJackson
very worried about our NT situation, which is to say, we have no nose tackle
ArmyBengal
I'm not expecting any "surprise" cuts from the Bengals at this point. When looking at some of the names on the roster, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out who is staying and who is going. I think the more interesting question will be, who is starting where or what position will they be backing up? The secondary and o-line seem to be less settled than say, WR or RB. HoosierCat
Quote CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Bengals on Monday waived defensive Justin Blazek. HoosierCat
The Enquirer reminds me of the rule change this year. Quote Beginning this year, teams can place two players on the injured reserve list prior to the roster cutdown and designate them as eligible to return following the fourth game of the season. The rule change gives teams more flexibility to carry 53 healthy players on their initial roster as well as an avenue to prevent as many as two additional players from hitting the waiver wire. Bengals defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson and defensive end Myles Murphy are both dealing with knee injuries, and their progress could shape how the Bengals’ initial 53-man roster develops https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2024/08/26/what-to-know-about-bengals-key-decisions-before-roster-cutdown/74953637007/

ArmyBengal
Bunch of cuts happening today but nothing of interest. For those wanting… Perrine will be released if they don’t find a trade partner.
HoosierCat
Perine would be an upgrade over Trayveon but I’m not trading for him.
