My Brother and I were the first on the block to move from Nintendo/Tecmo Bowl for the Sega system and it was all because of the look of Madden Football.

I'm sure he broadcast a game in Paul Brown Stadium, can't remember if he did.   It was always a big deal to get the CBS/FOX team because NBC was primarily the AFC network. 

As a 90s NFL fan Madden was linked to the Dallas Cowboys so many times.   I wonder how many Aikman/Emmit/and Irvin games he did?   Seems like it was a weekly deal.

John Madden was a really great football coach. It sort of gets overshadowed by his media career and his boisterous personality.  Dude didn’t look like a head coach.  Looked like an o-line coach.
