McCarron comparing injury situation to Brady

I decided to take a look at who exactly McCarron was playing with  each season, specifically the pass catchers.

2011 consisted of Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks at WR and Michael Williams at TE.  He also had Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy in the backfield.

2012 consisted of Amari Cooper and Kevin Norwood at WR and Michael Williams at TE.  He also had Eddie Lacy and TJ Yeldon in the backfield.

2013 consisted of Amari Cooper and Kevin Norwood at WR and O.J. Howard at TE.  He also had TJ Yeldon and Derrick Henry in the backfield.

He always had a dynamic backfield and one of the best defenses in college football.

I agree with the thought of seeing us establish the running game and sticking with it.

Mitchell going for the helmet to helmet knockout hit against Eifert.  Succeeded, though Eifert was able to play a little more before the Protocol guy caught him and removed him from the game.

So the NFL decided later on, after Ben got on his knees and did the boss man a favor to fine Burfict on his hit to Ben!

So sounds like he is getting fined for 3 separate occasions. That sounds a bit crazy.

You've got to be kidding...

Then there is this.

Bucky Brooks thinks McCarron can lead the Bengals deep into the playoffs.

Excellent breakdown on what McCarron can do in the offense.

Bucky Brooks needs to lay off the sauce.

Man, what do you have against Bucky Brooks?  All he said was that AJ possesses core traits, that he deftly navigated stuff, and that he's ascending.  Good enough for me, split the whole line out to the left and let the core traits take over!

not unreasonable write-up. With so little film on MCarron, there will be a period where they won't have him figured out and he can get away with some things. Fear is by the playoffs, there will be several game films and he will have been broken down, studied and weaknesses found/exploited. That's about the only thing I can fear, that and if he gets hurt. Should that happen, then I guess they can go get Ponder or Tebow, or something but it would be over anyway...

Mitchell is a bitch. I can't stand him, he is actually a crappy player, too.

Just read he got fined 23k for the head to head hit on Eifert.  The league office has got to be wondering how all these cheap shots they're fining guys for went unflagged during the game.

The list so far:

A number of players on both sides of last week's Steelers-Bengals game referred to it as chippy.

It also proved to be quite costly.

The NFL handed out 10 total fines to eight players for a total of $147,587.

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was fined for three separate altercations, none of which included the pregame scuffle.

Burfict was fined a total of $69,454 for a facemask, unnecessary roughness and roughing the passer. Burfict was not penalized for hitting Ben Roethlisberger low during a first-quarter completion, but he was fined for it.

Also fined were six Steelers for a total of $66,557:

• Mike Mitchell ($23,152) for a hit on a defenseless player (Tyler Eifert).

• Antonio Brown ($8,681) for an illegal crack-back block.

• David DeCastro ($8,681) for a facemask.

• Brandon Boykin ($8,681) for unsportsmanlike conduct (group demonstration).

• William Gay ($8,681) for unsportsmanlike conduct (group demonstration).

• Marcus Gilbert ($8,681) for unnecessary roughness.

Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was fined $11,576 for punting the ball into the stands after scoring a touchdown. The NFL states that throwing/punting the ball into the stands creates the potential for crowd control problems.
