skyline
To be fair, Jay may end up being a perfectly fine head coach. It's as a play-caller that I have no interest in him.

gregcook68
Two cents from the positive, casual, going with what we know fan, IF the Washington deal works out, this may be the missing link to get things over the hump especially seeing his interviews about the game on Sunday. Even a casual fan can see that if something is working you stay with it until it proves otherwise!Zimmer deserves an offer, but I won't be upset if that doesn't happen until 2015. With this being Marvin and Andy's last year of contract, I'd like to see what the new OC and the same defense can do together.

HoosierCat
I'm in no rush to promote Hue. Plenty of fish in the sea. I've seen Chudzinski's name bounced around and that intrigues me. IMO it would be worth dropping a dime on a call to Kubiak too.

gregcook68
Just heard Hue is in! I predict good things. Wasn't he RB coach? Run first, play action, more time for Andy to throw more effective and timely passes!Wooooo Hoooooo WHO DEY!!!!!

Ha!I don't mind promoting Hue to OC but just because he's here doesn't mean he's best for the job. Hell, Gruden's deal isn't even official yet. Why the rush? kingwilly
Adam Schefter reporting that Redskins TE coach will be Gruden's OC.Door for Hue is back open. That was quick. Wasn't Washington going to interview like 8 more people? Not a bad deal to make Hue OC. All articles indicate his offensive rushing ranks while OC. Maybe he will create some competition for Andy. It's what Dalton needs.

Ha!I don't mind promoting Hue to OC but just because he's here doesn't mean he's best for the job. Hell, Gruden's deal isn't even official yet. Why the rush?Well, sure. That can be said for alot of coaches and players on the team. Apparently, this is Marvin's guy and I'd bet the main reason he was brought over for a coach in the first place was to get him in line for OC when Gruden left.Either way, Gruden is gone, and I think that's a step in the right direction. volcom69
That's what I'm hoping for if Hue or somebody else is here, a consistant running game. This team lacked an identity for the last couple of years, so lets hope they find one.
jjakq27
Alright. Good times. Now, I feel like we're on death watch for Zimmer's possible departure.Adam Schefter has him as the front runner in Minnesota. Ex-Browns DC Ray Horton might make a good replacement if Zimmer does leave. He played here and coached in PIttsburgh, Arizona and Cleveland so he is very familiar with the landscape. As for Gruden, he was a welcome change from Brat three years ago. He did a good job of bringing Andy along from scratch but I think they both were limiting each other now. I think Jay may have been in Andy's head a little. Hopefully Hue will be that calming voice that will keep Andy off of tilt when things don't go well. I also wonder if Marvin will exert his influence a little more and have a stronger say in the offense, ie, run the ball more.
walzav29
I'm glad that Gruden is gone. There was alot of Arena Ball in him, but he did help with the development of Dalton. If you look at Hue's last year as Raiders OC, he closed the 2010 season for Oak averaging 28 pts a game the last 6. He has alot more to work with. He is familiar with the weapons, and will run more than Gruden. I was glad when Jay got here, but I'm ready for him to go. Plus we can reward Hue for that awesome Palmer deal that got us Dre and Gio!
