Things no one wants to be: head coach of the Cleveland Browns. From the twitter:

Cardinals DC Todd Bowles has told the Browns to withdraw his name from their list of HC candidates, source tells @FOXSports1

Apparently, the Clowns are hot for Broncos OC Adam Gase. Yes, yes Cleveland, that's the ticket. Your next head coach should be a guy with ONE year of coordinator experience when his QB was Peyton Manning.

Factory of sadness will always continue,What kind of team looks to hire a OC of a team where the QB calls the plays...

If they were smart They'd look to offer Peyton a Head Coaching job :P over Gase.

They were impressed with the fact that he knows Peyton Manning and he told them he'd share the secret of "Ohama" if he got the job. In fact he said the Browns would begin using the name "Parma" in place of Ohama next year. Something to endear the locals to the team.

Rotoworld:

Citing conversations with people around the league, NFL Network's Albert Breer says the feeling is the Browns' head-coaching job is viewed as "radioactive."

"Tough spot for them," added Breer of the Browns, who were quickly spurned by Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. The Browns have an alleged-criminal owner and kicked Rob Chudzinski aside after one year on the job, also letting outstanding coordinators Ray Horton and Norv Turner leave without a fight. There is no franchise quarterback or running back on the roster. It's not surprising coaches around the league aren't lining up to succeed Chudzinski.

Gase may be the next to decline.

And it looks like Horton is headed to Tennessee as DC

Browns coaching search is a s**t show without parallel. I can't recall a job being so unwanted.

One effect of this embarrassment, the good players they have are going to want out.

That whole outfit is a yard sale, which is no surprise since the owner is a greedy bastard who thinks its ok to completely steal from your own customers.

Seriously, I can't recall a time when a team had the head coach and both coordinator positions to fill and apparently no one wanting the jobs.

I know they will get them filled, but dang.

I really do feel bad for the Browns fans that have to deal with it.

Gase withdraws from consideration.

Somewhere Rob Chudzinski is cashing checks and laughing his ass off.

Looks like it's Pettine.

The 47-year-old Pettine has never been a head coach beyond the high school level,

Way to go browns.

Probably old news by now but Mike Munchak is now the O-line coach with the Steelers.

http://sportsillustr...offensive-line/

Also, has Pettine named his staff yet? Curious to see who's left out there that he could hire. They might have to get guys from St. Eds or St. I's to round out their staff.

I see that Horton ended up in Tennessee as DC and Norv is Zim's new OC as everyone probably knows by now.

I heard on Sirius yesterday that the Browns are interviewing Kyle Shanahan for their OC spot. So they fire Norv to hire Kyle Shanahan? That's the kind of business acumen that moves naked-lady-sillhouete mud flaps off the shelves!

Gregg Williams takes over as DC in St. Louis.

Great news Cleveland! While your real team still sucks, you get a fake one run by Kevin Costner that's sure to kick ass!

Why would they base it in Cleveland? Seems like the hard luck story should have been Detroit.
