TJJackson
Then again, whats the likelihood of both our game and the Raven's game ending in a tie?
kingwilly
I think the #2 seed is very possible, maybe even likely considering the state of NE. We get the #2, could be possible to face Indy again at home, assuming they can beat the #6. Win that and then on to Denver, or host whoever upset the Donkeys.I'm really really liking the Bengals chances this year. They seem to be peaking, right time, right place. D must play good ball. ST has stepped up, O has morphed into a budding powerhouse.
volcom69
It's all about Dalton/offense not turning the ball over, giving the other team short fields.Running game must continue to push on, open up the passing game. O-line must give Dalton time and space to work with, they do that and Dalton will be fine. Defense is what I'm worried about. So many guys hurt, and now they are down at CB. I'm afraid they will not be able to stop the pass, but I'm excited to see Kirk and Ghee. Stay strong defense and you never know.

If we do that then we've earned it

Whit feels like this is definitely the best team he's played on and that there was chemistry on and off the field with these guys that was never there before. They've played with a lot of heart all season in the face of nonstop criticism and doubt. I don't want them to lose their edge right when they seem to be peaking. I don't doubt this team's character -- I am more confident in them than any other Bengal team in recent memory -- but I say bring on the critics and doubters and keep the ravens/dolphins nipping at their heels. Also, seeing the Pats lose that #2 spot would trump any security a miami loss would bring!
HoosierCat
Even if they clinch there's still the second seed to play for. I don't see this team letting up on the gas if AFTER they punch their postseason ticket this weekend.

Scottishbengal
They're hungry and have a lot of motivation to play hungry! This is true - 2nd seed is VERY achievable as the Pats are not playing well despite winning ... you gotta win out and hope that one of their comebacks doesn't happen then we're in the driving seat. It's all to play for :cheers:/>

Kazkal
Being the 3 seed also means that if we win game 1, we play the Patriots rather than the Broncos in game 2MUCH rather play the Patriots than the Broncos.I'm a fan of the idea Patriots will lose one more game we will win out...Broncos Lose in division round and then we get Homefield all threw the playoffs.I like that idea alot
jjakq27
Playoff scenario machine. Pretty neat program.http://espn.go.com/n...layoffs/machineI ran through this thing a couple of times yesterday. There was one scenario where the Bengals could actually get the No. 1 seed by winning out and the Broncos and Pats falling on their faces.Probably 5 different teams ended up in that 6th spot just by changing the outcome of a couple of games over the next three weeks. HoosierCat
Probably but it isn't a matchup they've broken out. But the closest AFC team to the Bengals in terms of a Super Bowl appearance is the Pats (25.8%) and they have an 11.2% chance of meeting the Hags. So I would put the chance of a CIN-SEA game in the 8-10% ballpark right now.

Maybe, maybe the Texans because I think they have an upset in them.Wouldn't that be tits? The Bengals with the number one seed? They would win the tiebreakers with the Patriots and the Broncos.
