Marv could have big decision week 17

If there is some whacky scenario like in 2009 where the Bengals have the option of knocking out the Ravens or playing them in the wild card game in the 1st round. How do you think they'll handle it? I hated those 2 weeks, and it seemed to have changed the Bengals attitude for the following week vs the Jets. I can't believe how long it's been since the last time we won a playoff game. It's gotta happen this year. That's been the negative of this season. Winning a playoff game is the difference between a feeling of going in the right direction or anarchy.

Remember vs the Jet's though? They didn't go all out to win and lost back to back weeks. I'm wondering if Marv will play it different.

Well, I don't think resting guys in week 17 back in '09 was why they lost the WC game. By the time they got to the playoffs the 2009 Bengals were a spent force. Half the team was on IR and the other half was playing hurt. And our passing game that year makes Dalton this year look like Johnny Unitas.

I can't see this squad laying down for the Ravens even if the game doesn't have any playoff implications. And I think it's very likely that it will.

Just win, baby.

The Colts are a formidable opponent.

After the season this team has had, I don't think 'looking ahead' or taking a team for granted is on their itinerary!

This team is two OT games away from being 10-2.

Plus, Kirkpatrick and Malaluga took the Bengals out of an opportunity to beat the Bears, so the only really true beaten down loss this team has had was the first Browns game!

I'll call for a Bengals win.

Bengals 24

Colts 13

two FG's all for Colts until a late TD.

I don't see the Bengals offense blowing up, more focusing on the run and hitting safe throws to RB's and TEs with a couple of deep strikes to back the DBs off.

By the same measure we were a crazy fumble return away from losing to GB and a rainstorm away from losing to NE.

No one knows what would have happened without the rain, and the defense caused the fumble in the GB game, and GB still had a chance to win, until the defense batted down 3 of 4 GB passes!
