walzav29
This game is huge. A loss will really turn up the pressure with the Steelers and Ravens breathing down our necks, but a win is a statement. They closed 7-1 last year. I think the break will have calmed the offense down. They can get everyone in-sync and go from there.
ArmyBengal
Yeah, nothing would please me more than to see Pressley out there blasting away for BJGE and Gio, on their way to another win.The Orson Charles experiment was a complete failure in my book. I think he has value at the TE spot, but what a waste at FB.I've been saying it for a while and will continue saying it.Stop worrying about what seed you are going to be and focus on the game. Both the Steelers and Ravens are capable of keeping things close to the end of the season.Establish the run against the Chargers and take your shots after that. The SD secondary isn't that great. HoosierCat
Announcing crew for this game?Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts.Dan. Fouts. I never looked for the option, but the prospect of having to listen to Fouts is making me want to puke.
ArmyBengal
If was an early game I would set the DVR, get some things done and then come back and fast forward inbetween plays. That limits the amount of stupidity you are forced to listen to depending on the announcers. With this being a late afternoon game, that thought will pretty much go out the window.Yeah, the radio call will be the way to go. kingwilly
Still working an angle to get to the game. The SD team doctor is a friend (one who is slow to return calls, btw...)
HoosierCat
Well good luck.Nothing to do with the game but if you want a good laff and haven't seen this, go watch./>http://deadspin.com/footrace-between-drunk-bears-fans-ends-exactly-as-it-sh-1471237969
volcom69
Yep count me in to listening to Lap.Anybody know how long Lap has been covering the bengals on the radio? I was watching a clip of the 1988 bengals game and I swear I heard Laps voice on there?
HoosierCat
Lap's been doing color for 28 seasons so that goes back to, what, 1985? Sounds about right.
volcom69
Wow that's crazy. He deserves to do it for as long as he wants, for having to call the games in the 90's lol. Not to mention he is great to listen to, and tells it like it is.
HoosierCat
Schedule update from Harvey:We'll have a number of items on here later in the day as the Cincinnati Bengals go through their second-to-last open practice of the week. This also will be the first day the Bengals will provide an injury report ahead of Sunday's game at San Diego. For now, that injury report looks to be a fairly clean one. Only guard Kevin Zeitler's status is concerning after he missed Monday's walkthrough while still recovering from a foot injury suffered two games ago. Last week, coach Marvin Lewis was optimistic he'd have everyone on his 53-man roster back to full go before this weekend's game. After Wednesday's practice, the Bengals will have a modified workout Thursday behind closed doors. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the session is closed to media. On Friday, they'll work out in the morning before loading buses for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and flying off to the West Coast. Scottishbengal
Will this game come down to 3rd down efforts??The teams seem pretty evenly matched otherwise. SD have home field and Bengals just had a bye.SD convert 46% Bengals allow 35% - split the diff = SD convert 41% of 3rd downsBengals convert 38% SD allow 39% - split the diff = Bengals convert 38.1/2%Tighten up on either side of 3rd downs and there's your game ! ArmyBengal
Tighten up on INT's and dropped passes and the Bengals win big.Outside of that thought, it's going to be a tough game out there.

gregcook68
What does everyone see happening in San Diego on Sunday?I didn't get to see their game with the Chiefs.I think the Bengals defense are playing with that chip on their shoulder, especially on the heels of Leon, Geno, and now the Thomas Howard tragedy! If the offensive can play without turnovers and control the ball, I think the Bengals come out on top.I truly believe if they can win Sunday, that will be key and will jump start them on a win out scenario! Scottishbengal
What does everyone see happening in San Diego on Sunday?Hopefully SD used up two games worth of points last week and I really can't see San Diego racking up another 41 points on the Cincy D. I think the Cincy D forces Rivers into a lesser game than Kansas did, and the Cincy O figures out a) how to run the ball and stick with it and holding onto passesBengals 31 - 24 Chargers

I can't tell you how many times, over my 60 years, I've seen team, in both baseball and football, score points and runs like they are unconscious, and then come out the next game and fall flat. ArmyBengal
I mentioned it yesterday. If the Bengals don't throw INT's and drop passes the way they have recently, they may win big.If they didn't find a fix to that, it's going to be a long day.I think (see hope) they found fixes.Bengals- 27Chargers-
