With his play over the last few games, I think there is validity to the question "How can you possibly take him out?"

Maualuga was having a decent season before his injury, but Last-Name-Rey has been absolutely fantastic. He's been a tackling machine, he's been disciplined, he's been around the ball constantly, he has sacks and a pick. Is there any way to justify handing Maualuga his starting job again if he is healthy coming out of the bye?

First-name-Rey was out doing warmups before the game so I fully expect he'll be healthy for SD. My bet is that he will get his job back, but it's another one of those good problems to have.

Rey might be what Mays/Lamur was supposed to be a Nickle LB. if that's the case he will play a lot

Casting my ballot for First Name. We know Second Name's ceiling, and his floor. I think First Name's ceiling is higher, and I think his floor is higher. What a great problem to have. Also, if I am a defensive player in the NFL, and I'm slightly above average and my first contract is up, I'm looking to come to Cincinnati. Zimmer works wonders with guys. Hope he doesn't leave us.

Is it wrong I don't wanna see Zimmer become head Coach unless it's here because I really like the idea of him being HC.

Think It's retarded NFL hasn't given him a chance yet look at what he does on Defense in having Players believe in him imagine if he had a entire team.

Not at all. He does deserve a shot at HC tho.

I'm sure Zimmer is as pleased as we are, and will probably use Rey a lot, keeping the D as fresh as possible.

As far as Zimmer is concerned, this is what I would love to see happen.

First of all Mike Brown and Jerry Jones are the ONLY two owners who currently wear the owner/GM hat.

Marvin and Brown are close.

I'd like to see Brown take off the GM hat, and offer it to Marvin, and offer Zimmer the HC job.

I would like to think that Marvin might take the job, especially if they go deep into the playoffs with that defense, knowing that the organization might lose Zimmer.

It's a long shot, but a possibility.
